the one I used was TRS brand! Commercially mixed is fine! But if you haven’t got any no need to buy some! Just leave that out, it will still taste great 👍
The thing is with spices you can’t always taste it the individual spices but once add together then you get the flavour! Does that make sense? But if you haven’t got any just leave out!! Keep me updated!!
Hi again Chef! I’m a very grateful follower of yours, I’ve learned a lot. Just wondering about using tinned plum tomatoes? You always use fresh but it’s not always easy to get good ripe ones.
I'm getting confused how many variations of this curry do you have, I am actually cooking one of your other One Pot Beef Curry (Not Madras) with slightly different ingredients, more oil, more bay leaves, more tomatoes and no peppers? What one is the best, why so many slightly different ones?
If you went to 10 Indian families for dinner if they was to cook beef curry it wouldn’t be the same , this one today I posted it takes much longer to cook, as it’s a cheap cut of meat , but it’s worth cooking give it a try! And let me know what you think!

Thanks for the recipe Din. Could I ask if you have your own curry mix powder or would a commercial brand be acceptable?

Thanx, I usually use Rajah but long overdue I give the TRS a try, it is available local to me. Thanx once again 👍
I've tried methi which I think is fenugreek and it didnt seem to taste like anything much at all. Is it really necessary?

Where I’m using fresh you can use tinned plumb tomatoes instead! Enjoy
