try the video it it has a deeper and seems more meaningful. i dont know why but this is one of my fave songs from them since you get to hear the vocals of his voice better. they are a metal band and this is one of their lower key songs.

Honestly, it would be nearly impossible not to like David Draiman's version, Pentatonix version, much less Simon and Garfunkel's. Paul Simon is an absolute genius. Art Garfunkel paired well with him him, but Simon was the driving force there. When they originally recorded "Sound Of Silence" they got much critical acclaim, and rightfully so. No one knew, or suspected, that this was more than a mere song. It became an anthem. On the opposite, but equally significant, end of that spectrum, came Lynyrd Skynyrd and "Free Bird." Now, that is just my opinion....and I could be wrong, but....................

David Draiman will for sure go to Heaven. They need a voice like his.
