A great build! 109s are just awesome - there's an endless supply of camo schemes and they have a mean look from every angle just like a weapon of war should.
Thank you, good vid. That weathering technique will come in handy on the three or four kits I have currently on the go, one of which is a rather large 109G2 (Trumpeter 1/24 :) The painting part is not my favourite thing so this is really helpful. Thanks again :)
Nice model, Eduard fit & finish could be better for the extra money their kits cost, I only do minor weathering on my aircraft kits. Keep the videos coming, good stuff! Cheers from Japan!
Superb job sir!! I am starting watching your tutorial: Very good suggestion to sand down a bit the join on the top fuselage to have ready the "spine" panel line! I never thought of it! Thank you so much for sharing your skills! Sometimes one doesn't see simple solutions just behind the corner! I have many 1/32 WW2 kits, how long it took to you to finish this model if I may ask please? You made me enthusiastic! I am subscribing!!!
Decals should be applied onto gloss varnish. Then use a fixer to create a bond between decal and model. Apply the decal and use a cotton bud to remove excess fluid. Use a softener on the decal and wait for them to dry. Next reapply a gloss varnish which should prevent silvering. I have found that if the water is too hot when loosening the decal the sticky bond can be lost.
Jason - Merry Christmas! Love the channel all the way from Wisconsin, US. As the BF109 guru, can I ask your advice, please? I'm a novice with planes and am building Revell's 109 G2/4 in 1/35. Have the primer coat but thinking about how best to do the pre-shading on the panel lines. Do you use black or a very dark gray? Do you thin the paint more for this purpose and spray at a lower PSI? I would greatly appreciate any advice you can give me. Thanks - Mark
Thanks. I like the tips on weathering. The result you achieve is, to my eyes, very realistic.
Never built a 1/32 scale, i think its time....beautiful work well done mate

*Wonderful kit, your paint is awesome! Eduard provides such quality!*
Very realistic results. Looks exactly like exhaust staining.

Very cool, thanks for sharing brother. 🤟🤠👍
Greetings, that was a excellent build and paint finish, you must be very happy with the end result, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia.
When painting large yellow sections, I always base in pink - really helps give a solid yellow
Great work thanks

Very nice job lover the video. Have s question on what airbrush you like to use. thanks.
Great video, did the metal colour of the aircraft ever show through as in chipped or worn areas?

I heard that this models molds were destroyed in the fire that Eduard had. If true that was the standard molding.
