Using the fork is a great idea! I used everything from clips to those ceramic spikes. Always finding some annoying flaw with each.
Love me some plecos. Currently, obsessed with two Gold Nuggets I got at lfs. Great pleco advice and filming. But....no glamour shot. Hey, flaunt it a little. Thanks Mike!

You and I keep completely different types of plecos, but I have yet to find any pleco that didn’t like a little mulm in the tank, including my L46 Zebra plecos. 👍

My wife got tired of me giving the forks to the fish. Now I clean and boil cucumber or zucchini then cut it into either rings or pickle strips then they sink forkless. It takes a little time but I find it worth it.

Hello Michael. I know you’re an expert on BN and I have a question for you. My teenage son appears to have bred a Lemon LF Male and Albino Female What should we except the fry to look like? I want to say thanks for all the great videos you provide as it’s greatly appreciated.
Expert, nah....just a dumb guy with a camera. But, I think mostly albino SF.

I feed my common pleco 1 shrimp wafer a week then alge wafer for the rest of the week. Is shrimp qafer okay? They seem to eat it.

my gibbicep is 2 feet long, does yours kill other plecos? mine will not allow any other pleco in the tank

When someone will give you money for them! About 1/2 inch or so, the bigger the more expensive
You can generally sell them at 1/2 inch as Michael said above, but just let people know to spend more time floating/acclimating them. Cause they die much easier at that size. Once they hit an inch or so, they're fine.

Nope, I send 2 plecos. Most of the time they are too young to sex.
Hi Micheal. I found my plecos have eggs today in my guppy fry tank. So from watching your videos would I be right baby plecos are safe with guppy baby's growing together?
Yes! I breed them both in many tanks! Water changes are going to be your friend.....

Hello Michael, I've got a question, well I have a bristlenose pair but the female is larger than the male female is fully grown and large and the male is about 3 to 4 inches, will they be able to breed?

Would the red pleco coluor be genetic or would food contribute to colour?
Genetic, but good food will help bring it out. Just like any other fish.

Michael's Fish Room I went to buy separate Aquarium 20 Galon with filter and heater I left it bare bottom and set up..
Now when do I move father with babies when they hatch or what’s the best Advice also do I love mother with father too so both parents are there?

Do you mean do I add anything? No, just the nitrates produced.
How long can you leave the cucumber inside? won't it be harmful for the water parameters?
They only last 24ish hours in my tanks before they are gone! But I would say not much more than that.
What are those semi-white translucent worms in the first tank? I had those in my FluvalFlex as well. The only cause I thought it was from were the snails.

Hey Michael just got into the hobby and the first video i saw from you was about the how to cycle a fish tank, i was hoping maybe you can give me an advice help me out wth what i should do, i ended up going crazy at the fish store the other day after i saw these exotic plecos so i bought 6 (green phantom, 2 blue, royal , galaxy, gold nugget pleco)(2"-2.5") of them i askthe guy from the fish store if the fish where for a experienced level fish keeper he said the fish were hardy that they wouldn't die so when i got home i acclimated the way i was tought to acclimate my affricam cichlids 15mnt floating ontop then lil by lil put water inside the bag from the tank, the fish seem to be doing fine , but my question is........ i didnt know nothing about these plecos before this but......., rn my water paramiters are good its my ph thats im worried about its a 8.0 or alil higher thats the way i get it from my tap water, ¿¿¿ will they die in the long run if i keep them in that ph??, theres really not that many vids on youtube about these plecos, i herd about driftwood and plants but not really a fan of the fish tank looking brown, i still plan to put drift wood but not as much just so the plecos can have that to chew on it or eat it i think, i currently have them in a 75gl but plan to get a 125 or bigger after they grow, anyways getting of subject, what can i do in this situation? Buffer? Hro system is to expensive for me with the refills, is there a way that's least expensive? Im just afraid of ph fluctuation, what should i do?🤷🏽♂️ please help!!!!!!!

have you had issues with males not eating? Im concerned my male doesnt eat. Oddly ive had the luck to own females more than males. 4 females 1 male pleco, and he breeds weekly and loves his little plant watering caves. I dont see him eat though. The females actively search out food while hes just in his little bachelor pad.
I imagine if they are breeding he is eating, most likely when it’s dark and it’s easier for him to protect his eggs.
How come nobody breeds snowball plecos?

Same here! I've four about 8 mths old! Really want to get another 4! Large investment, time and care! For basically a fish that given a choice, will hide away in between cracks and crevices and you never see them again! But if it goes to plan, I have bulk buyers on the ready! And let's not forget the ££££ incentive!! Good luck! Any queries, be happy to share what little I think I know about zebra pleco!

Cucumber has no nutritional value... I switched about 10 years ago to peppers and zucchini and see a huge difference in health and growth.
