We received this in the mail today! The packaging was fine, no damage during shipping thank goodness! The construction was very simple th-cam.com/users/postUgkxXH3jIpsn6vpr3D26KWAriUejh7CSxVp7 , the bottom rocking part and the ottoman were already put together for us which is nice!As for the actual quality, the wood seems fine.. Not too cheap but maybe not the quality you would find in a store for 400$. However, it is still sturdy and feels secure. I've only had it for one night, so of course no squeaking yet.. But if it does squeak it could be easily oiled. The cushions are comfy, and made of a suede like material. Obviously with time these cushions will probably wear and tear.. But for the price of the chair it is still worth it just to go out and buy new cushions that fit in the future.Overall I am very satisfied, I was a little worried after reading some reviews and looking through the photos, but I'm happy I bought it! Obviously it's not a heavy-duty chair, but with care I'm hoping it will last a while.

I bookmarked your video about a year ago, and even though it helped me realize how quick and easy repairing my sofa would likely be, I still did nothing about it.. until today! Finally I decided to fix the sagging right side of my sofa, and incredibly did remember how good your video was and that I had bookmarked it. So I watched again a few times and put a small amount of effort into things and now have an actually comfy sofa that doesn’t hurt my back! Thank you.

Awesome. Everything else I was reading was leading me to believe I had to put a whole new spring in and my sofa is an odd size so I didn't know where to get the spring. You just saved me an arm and a leg. My "springs" have broken 1/2 dozen times because, well, I have a "large" family (my husband is almost 6'6" and my sons are up there, too) so the sofa takes some abuse from people plopping down on it. My manufacturer used to come repair it "for free" because of its lifetime warranty but they went out of business last year (imagine why!). I had to get the "couch doctor" here to repair it last year and he charged me $1200 for the house call and 5 minute repair! I swore "never again." Now, another spring has popped a year later - the clip actually came flying out from under the sofa. After watching your video, I knew what I needed to do. Fingers crossed it works when I get the new clip in a couple of days. Thanks again! Free is so much better than > 1000 bucks!

You can throw it away. You don’t really need it. If you REALLY want one, you can go buy some non-woven interfacing from the fabric store and just staple it on with a staple gun. Regular fabric (in any color you want) is also an option, but go for the cheap stuff. No one is looking under your couch.

Also, my springs are “no sag” and there was no way I could pull the spring to meet the clip. I tried using a lever but the frame is so deep that I could get it down there. You can replace those springs with twine. The point of them is so that the springs act as a unit, keeping them from moving side to side. I always tie them with twine. The springs are factory (quick cheap and easy) not custom.

Upholstery is a specialized trade, and therefore requires specific tools sometimes. Yes, there is a tool for stretching springs. amzn.to/3Obfm2P
