NDC Drops Haruna Iddrisu, Muntaka From Campaign; Atubiga Chides Mahama For Abandoning Northerners

The Leader and founder of the National Liberation Congress (NLC), Mr Stephen Atubiga has issued a passionate appeal to the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress NDC, Mr John Dramani Mahama to support and protect party members from the northern regions, amid growing dissatisfaction with his leadership.
He expressed deep disappointment and frustration with Mahama's leadership, saying he had failed to support certain members of the party who had been instrumental in his success.
The presidential candidate for NLC specifically mentioned Haruna, Muntaka, and Ken Avoka as examples of party members who had been neglected by John Mahama, despite their loyalty and dedication to the party. "John Mahama had failed to protect them from attacks and ridicule from within the party, leaving them feeling abandoned and disenfranchised."
Speaking in an exclusive interview with modern Ghana reporter Beyonce Diamond Kpogli, he said Mahama's failure to support northern region party members was a strategic mistake, as it had led to a decline in support for the party in the region. He urged Mahama to take immediate action to address the issue, by reaching out to disgruntled party members and working to rebuild trust and confidence in the party.
"My brother John Dramani Mahama at this moment has failed some of us the Northerners for not protecting us, has failed to protect us, has failed to pull us along and I think that he will see the results if he does not sit up and do the right thing or reposition himself, I'm not talking about myself but at least I can point as Haruna and then Muntaka, Ken Avoka and other Northerners that you can think about, you can think about all our northern regions, they have been left out and I think that in the NDC, we should pull them along and create a vacuum for a successor, groom and train Northerners, John Dramani Mahama, that is my advice to you", he stated.
