My testimony about this song. In Asia, Being a black teacher is not easy. They always prefer whites though they sometimes under perform. I was on the brink of the school terminating my contract because they felt like my ‘ American accent’ wasnt good enough. I needed the job. I’d go to my class very early in the morning before school started and I’d kneel on the floor in class, lift my hands and pray. I’d play this song again and again and again...I was never expelled. Instead, they expelled all the whites. I later learned that , the school committee held several meetings in the mornings debating on whether to let go of me too as well or not. Meetings were at the same time as my prayer time. As i was singing’Theres nothing like your presence Lord…’ the holy spirit was in full operation in that meeting room fighting for me. By the time I left the school, they awarded me for being the best teacher. To God be the Glory.
Despite the horrors of 2020, I had my twins in 2020 after 13 years of delay, 8 miscarriages, even one divorce due to infertility. I am grateful to God for His Mercies. 2021 will be even greater, just believe!
