@BarbaraGuest you are so right. We are about to change the world and do a timeline shift and bring back the ones who were John Galted. And we are ushering in a new beginning and heaven on earth via freedom and prosperity for all of the humanity!!♡
Saw SRV 10×, including his 2nd to last show ever. Alpine Valley, Wisconsin. Met him the 1st time I saw him at The Embassy Ballroom, Chicago in 1984. He autographed a flyer from the venue, which I still have. Favorite time I saw him was opening for Jeff Beck at UIC Pavillion 10th row. Personally I think Jeff Beck was & will always be the GOATGuitarist but if you think SRV is your GOAT I have no argument against your choice. I think he is one of the best for sure. 👍✌️😃
Agreed. I've done my small part by watching it half a dozen times tonight and sharing it on Facebook. It's such a beautiful song and speaks volumes about our current situation.
I used to teach English as a second language. To teach my students listening comprehension, I would play songs for them. I would play short segments at a time, and they would figure out the lyrics. I used "Tick Tock" as 1 of the songs. It's sung very clearly and has a beautiful message, perfect for learning English. My students, from all over, really connected with it. I was happy to listen to the Vaughan brothers at work. 😉 🎤🎶🎸
Stevie Ray Vaughan is very much alive in our hearts and minds..Stevie is still with us thanks to u tube..What an entertainer and guitar genius..Jimmie Vaughan a great brother to Stevie and a sensational guitar player..were all joined as One in missing Stevie Ray Vaughan and keeping his memory with us every day..thank you all
A forgotten song and a lost message these days where brother bites against brother over ridiculous differences. We're but a whisper on this planet. Everything that's important is sitting right next to you. Sure wish there were more opportunities for these 2 brothers to write and play together.
One of the greatest songs EVER from one of the greatest former musicians to EVER play. It is so sad he died so tragically. May the late great Stevie Ray Vaughan always rest in musical peace for ever.
CLASSIC TUNE! Needs to be done again, today!!!!!!! I am now 54 and remember so clearly when I was 27 when this came out and SRV died like 5 weeks later!! SO FUCKING SAD!
I only wish that i could have seen at least one concert. That would be something that i would Cherish forever. Stevie you are missed by so many people. God Bless your wonderful soul. Always thinking of you.
I had the pleasure of interviewing Jimmie and he was every bit as genuine--and humble--as u would imagine..actually asked me "why would you want to interview me? I'm not doing anything special.." Two amazing talents, the Brothers Vaughan. RIP Stevie..gone but never forgotten.
30 years later and I don’t get why this song never blew up. As I sit here writing this and crying that things have not changed it is very disappointing. I don’t understand why we as a human race can hate each other for such petty things as the color of your skin, sexuality, and the list can go on! Whether you like to believe it or not, we are all one!! We are the human race! ❤️
Somehow selfish greedy immaturity keeps getting passed on from generation to generation. If it were not for people such as you and others here, the problem would be even worse. Yes, this song deserved better and I just featured it in my flickr with full credits.
Did anyone else cry their eyeballs out when you first got this album? This album was released in September 1990, Stevie died on August 27, 1990. I was having a dinner party on the 28th. We all cried all through the "party". It turned into an Irish wake
This album was barely finished when Stevie was tragically taken from us. Heartbroken, Jimmie made the videos without him. He said it was one of the hardest things he did but Stevie wouldn't have wanted him to quit. He finished it, paying homage to his little brother in an eloquent fashion. I love Stevie's unique honey over gravel voice. It's a real treat to hear the soft side of his voice in this song. The honey without the gravel! His vibrato gives me goose bumps! I may have heard Stevie in Tick Tock back in the day & thought it was Boy George! Another beautiful voice! You might think I'm crazy but if you listen closely, you will hear the similarity. I so regret not listening to SRV & DT & The Vaughan Brothers back in the day. I bought SRV & DT's Greatest Hits CD around 2006 or 7, listened to my faves every now & then. I didn't become a mega fan until 3 yrs. ago. Now I listen every day & watch every concert on TH-cam including bootlegs with distorted audio!

I saw JImmie in concert some years ago and he was amazing, was talking to a member of his band about this song and he told me that Jimmie (at least to that point) had never played this song live again...not sure if that is still true or not but you can tell from the video how much he loved his little brother. Easy for us to forget that while we lost a talented musician Jimmie and his family lost far more.

The album had yet to be released when the accident happened. They were going to tour the album also. The musicians all had a great time making it. Said they felt blessed to join the brothers and they all felt free to make suggestions. There were no egos, just music. God bless SRV.
Damn I miss Stevie !🤘🎸🤠
As a side note, could the backup singers be any more beautiful?! Those gorgeous faces! They quite take my breath away... This song always makes me cry. Thank you, S & J.
Yes, his background singers are gorgeous, and gorgeous on the inside too as shown by their participation in this important song. Rest In Peace to Stevie.
Yeah I’m crying as in typing this. I wish the world could be a better place for future generations to grow up in
