    In this video:
    Nikkor Ai-S 105mm/f1.8-22 with programmable chip-dandelion.
How to work with the lens:
    1. In the camera menu, you need to set the AF-S mode
    2. On the lens you need to put the aperture "22" - and do not change it!
The aperture can be changed on the camera, as with a conventional autofocus lens!
    3. Gently and carefully insert the lens into the camera
    4. Select the focus point in the viewfinder, for example, the center focus point
    5. Look at the viewfinder
    6. You can press the shutter release button completely, you can press the button halfway
    7. When the subject falls into focus - the focus point lights up, you hear a beep and the shutter of the camera will work, you will get a photo!
No focus yet - the photo will not be taken!
If you change the focus mode to "M", the shutter and the focus trap will not be locked!
I wish you many successful shots and a long work of the dandelion chip on your lens!

It looks like you have an AI-S lens here. Does this also work with Nikon AI lenses? Does the chip modification allow control of the aperture with the command dial? Thank you very much.

Our chip works with any manual Nikon lenses (Ai-S, Ai, Non-Ai: on Non Ai lenses, you just need to modify the aperture control ring), except for lenses with an aperture of f1.2 (the chip cannot be installed on such lenses). Aperture control through the aperture control ring - activated by a special function in the chip in the programming mode. This function works only on professional Nikon models.

@@AndriiKurianov1969 Thank you sir. I have several of your chips. I though I had a user guide explaining how to modify the aperture ring but I can't find it now. I will email you if you have something that explains that part. Maybe it is in the printed literature that came with the chips.

Ais 105mm f2.5, whos better and sharper?

    • @AndriiKurianov1969
      @AndriiKurianov1969  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      :) 105 / 1.8 - much better and lighter! 105/2.5 - a good "budget" lens. Who does not have money for 105 / 1.8 - he buys 105 / 2.5 :)

Hello, does this lens need to be "machined" to make room for the chip? Most 105mm MF Nikkors I see from www.pindelski.org/Blog/Nikkor_machining_database.htm do need machining, but this lens is not listed.

I think I answered my own question. At 0:28s, it's clearly visible that a slot has been cut for the chip.

Yes, to install a chip for this lens - you need to make a niche! I sell chips and also have the service of installing chips. See my address in the description of this video if you are interested.
P.S. Pindelski did not have this lens, so he did not put it in the "base".
P.P.S. When Pindelski bought the first chip from us, I already installed chips for 200 different lenses :)
