Combining one of my favourite country songs with my favourite country artist, Paul Brandt, and the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, brought tears of joy to my eyes as I recalled the days of all the fun I had on CB radio. Thank you Paul for your rendition of this iconic truckers' ballad.

Paul Brandt is so far the only performer Ive ever heard that was able to a respectful (modern) rendition. However, in this clip. I know its his rendition but he should ALWAYS thank Bill Fries aka C.W. McCall for the original. My late father was a CB'er (back in the day) and when he brought home the small vinal record it was a life long love since the age of 9-10 years old.

I remember first listening to CW McCall's version of *"Convoy",* and at the time thinking it was an awesome song!. And then I hear Paul Brandt's version of *"Convoy",* and OMG! Awesome!

I know how you feel. This songs been part if my life since I was a kid in the 70's. Then years later learned that Chip Davis helped compose the song with Bill Fries. I'd never think the creator of American Gramaphone Records and Creator of Mannhiem Steamroller was part of this history.

1970?! Convoy was released in 1975. The C.B. radio craze was a mid-70s phenomenon.

Love this!!!! Had no idea you had your own orchestra. There's a place off 146 and military Rd in Zanesville, Ohio 43701. The oaks nursing home, they'd love 💕 some entertainment. Some of those patients don't even have fall risk or allergy bands on.!!!! 🆘
