My God! What a wonderful sermon. At 89 y/o old he gave soul stirring reciting of the gospel. It was so pleasing to see how Bishop G.E. Patterson gazed upon his father with such pride and affection. I also noticed a very young Bishop Rance Allen in the back standing next to G.E. with the shades (and jerry curl- ) And not only did W.A make it to 90 y/o but got three more his trouble. He died Nov 04, 1991 (aged 93)

His son the Bishop Gilbert Earl Patterson became the fifth elected Presiding Bishop of the Church of God in Christ until he passes on in 2007. May their soul rest in eternal peace. We thank God for the current Presiding Bishop Charles Edward Blake. May God continue to bless this great church. I am in Botswana, Africa, but continue to enjoy the wonderful COGIC preachings.
