One theory I like is that the man at the end is a Templar, there to kill Ezio. But when he saw that Ezio was already dying, he decided to let him pass in peace, having an unobstructed view of his family

@@KnigthMare69 Templars aren't a uniform group of people, no matter how much they try to be that. There are plenty of Templars who see a symbolic duty in their fight, and would want to kill Ezio to send a message to all the assassins that they can get them even when they think they're safe. But Templars are also human... so it's very possible that some of them would look at an old, dying man and just... decide to let him die in peace.

Isn't that man the very first kill he did? The one that Mario stop Ezio to keep stabbing a corpse? Because I remember that he had a scar in a side of the mouth, and it works to the scene that an old ghost came to say "hey, no bad feelings, you did it great, now rest"

Fun fact, there's a misspelling with Shao Jun's name; they used a "Y" for the "Jun" part. Also, she is playable in Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China, a game series that also has Russian and Indian settings. You'll also see Shao Jun mentioned later in one of the main games, so just keep your ears open for her name. The men in masks are members of the Shanghai Rite of the Templar Order, who serve a group of Templars callled the Eight Tigers.

For me the Ezio series is unique. It's the only game I am aware of that you see the birth of the protagonist. And by this short story we see his end. They should make a tv series based on Ezio's life. But skip the present day storyline just focus it in the past.

What I love about Ezio in this film is that fact he dresses like an old Masyaf Master Assassin, dark robes over the traditional white with the red belt to show mastery. And in his brief time with Shao Yun he's still mentors her, just giving her the clifnotes more or less. This is what you must expect, this you will learn and it will hurt more than you think. The true crime is the fact that we didn't get a proper follow up with Shao Yun, she had such a good and classic AC set up that it's an actual crime Ubisoft didn't follow through on it.

Between the events of Revelations and Embers.
Following the end of Revelations in 1512, Ezio and Sofia returned to Constantinople to get their affairs in order. Though Selim told them never to return, Suliman did manage to get them temporary access to the city. Ezio checked on how the Turkish assassin's were doing under the command of Yusif's successor and oversaw the selling of Sofia's book shop to the Assassins.
In June of 1512, Ezio proposed to Sofia. Later that year they would travel to Venice and get married.
They would stay in Venice until new years of 1513, where they would return to Rome, where Claudia would congratulate them on their union. Ezio would also officially resign as Mentor, electing the assassin Lodovico Ariosto as his successor. Ezio and Sofia would then move to the Florentine country side and open a Vinyard. Ezio would go on to have 2 children. Flavia in May 1513 and Marcello in October 1514.
By 1519, Ezio had developed a chest infection, giving him a serious cough.
It's now 1524. Ezio is 64 years old. It's been 12 years since the end of Revelations.

Someone said Ubisoft confirmed the guy at the end is just a random guy meant to remind us of young Ezio and how far he’s come, but there was a theory I heard I like more: that it is actually Death appearing to Ezio as a young version of himself - there’s a moment of almost recognition after he touches Ezio’s hand as Ezio realizes who ‘he’ is and then Death gives him a reassuring smile, almost saying “it is time” and Ezio slightly nods as he realizes that his time has come. He then takes one last loving look at his family before joining Death.

It feels like recognition when the young man and Ezio look at each other, and the man looks enough like Vieri to be passable with a change in animation style. Recognition between them, and a sort of a way to say "it's time." Everything comes full circle, and with Ezio's death Vieri can finally be at peace as well.
Nobody else has to feel that way, but its nostalgic and comforting to me to headcanon that.

When you said that we get to see Ezio older than Altair I have to say that Ezio died at 65 and Altair at 95 or something. Thanks to the Apple of Eden of course

After Revelations, Ezio may not have been amenable but certainly one of the greatest Assassin alive. Should be hardly surprising for mio signore. Requiescat in pace.

Assassins Creed Chronicles China is abit different than all the other AC Games but if you are curious about Shao Yun you gotta have to play it.
But first you have to complete AC 3 and thats what im looking forward on your Channel.
I keep on wishing you much Fun on the Assassins Games.
    See ya.
