Freight traffic during 2004-2005 was 3,206 thousand Metric Tons.

The WDG-6G Diesel Locomotive is based on GE’s evolution series and is fitted with a V16 evolution series engine, a four-stroke fully turbocharged and intercooled machine pushing out 6000 HP, which will make it the most powerful locomotive in the Indian Railways' line-up.
