The track looked great and raced well 2grooves but few things that sucked to ruin the racing. 1. The dumb only 2 get in Open race. Josh Berry deserved to be in the race. He showed you could run the highline. And the race couldve used 4 more cars for how stretched the race got with Joey leading the whole time hiting lap cars only once. 2. The multiple stop starts on the short track. Short tracks are for racing around lap cars. The best racing was Bubba holding off Logano and Chris Buecher was on Joeys ass. But multiple stops just let Logano keep the air out front. 3. The tires were absolutely a none factor. Its a brand new paved track ofcourse softs were fine they should have made them run the others atleast half the race. The tires from Bristol that made that race a great race wouldve been a good example. 4. Soft drivers. With both grooves as good as they were, both sides of the cars shouldve have been beat up. Was chicken shit driving for the most part on a non points race. No one tried to cut tires or getem loose cause it was hard to pass anyway. Just thought it was weak. I promise you this, if this track ever gets a 400 mile points race it will be a fantastic race. The All star race needs to go to Atlanta or back to Charlotte and give NWS the other Michigan race. I swear the track can be great again. There were moments.
