- Helene brought flooding to several states in the eastern US. Fire crews have dealt with several fires in connection to electric cars in the flooding.

Salt water is much more conductive than normal tap or fresh water

Yeah, unlike gas which is definitely not explosive. A gas pipeline in Texas definitely didn't explode and take several days to extinguish, just last week.

The Fire Marshal of Lee County Florida has clearly warned people to keep your EV 50' away from a structure. The ban includes power tools and golf carts.

So the insurance companies need to not ensure anything around these vehicles these vehicles are a danger to the public a nuisance you must say. From there little plug INS to the access close to the stores to your own neighborhood a danger need to be revaluated if they are to go on public annuncents danger. All EV vehicles.
Forget about lithium car batteries catching fire. Why are those cars even there to begin with when they had days if not weeks to get them out of there? Don't people rent big trucks to get out all their furniture and belongings to a safe zone far away before a hurricane reaches their area? Don't they just move their cars and everything in advance? How irresponsible is that? You should just leave the walls of your house and cover all doors and windows with pool waterproof meshes before eviction. You get at least 7 days notice, that is enough to move everything on the other side of the country
What they don't tell you is that vehicles lose their charge, basically your money disappears if you leave it sit.
