Hi Caroline. I know you are likely no longer living in the Honors Village since your video is 2 years old, but was hoping you tell me a little bit about the difference of each floor. For example, I think the 1st and 2nd floors have piano's, maybe the 5th floor is for Cambium students? Any details you could give me would make choosing a floor and a room so much easier. Thanks!
The biggest difference between floors where actually on how loud they were. Ironically, people who partied more tended to be together and there were specific floors that were louder than others. As far as I know, the floors were random. Some floors had basic common rooms, and some like you mentioned had pianos. You can use any floors commons, and when you first move in everyone is outside at the commons playing games *which you should definitely take part in*. As far as I know it’s random, but maybe that has changed! Just remember that where you hang out will depend on who you meet, so I wouldn’t stress too much!!
Just came across this, helpful! :) Saw the CO mug, wondering if you or your suitemate is from CO and if so, how do you like living in AZ? How's the heat??
My suitemate and I are both from Colorado! The heat is manageable, especially since it’s only the first few months and you get used to it! I recommend looking outside of the campus, especially for the next coming years if you possibly don’t want to live on campus. There is stuff to do when you look for it, but at times it can possibly be isolating.
tyler murphy the only con of living at the honors village was that it is kinda of separated from the main part of campus but it’s only a 12-15 minute walk to the mall ( center of campus) but it’s not that big of a deal. You don’t feel separate from other freshman though because so many people come from all over campus to use the rec and eat in the dining hall so overall it is very nice and I absolutely loved living there my freshman year. I had so much fun there and having friends over, you definitely won’t regret it!!
I felt a little bit separated, all of my friends ended up living at dorms farther away but, it was so much fun when they came because my room was nicer and we had more amenities. I also had a bike so it was actually nice to bike to classes for 5-10 minutes a day! But any choice is a good choice.
do you know if the rooms that have one bed in one room but a shared bathroom, if they have the same furniture as your room? Like the dresser thing under your bed for example. Trying to figure out what other pieces of furniture we need to buy
I’m pretty sure all the furniture in the rooms are all the same, I would recommend getting one more thing of storage for your closet or desk because you’ll eventually need it.
Hi Caroline, Would you know the width of the entrance from your hallway to your roommate? We want to get the extendable curtain rod but wasn’t sure about the size. Thank you so much
Do you recommend the honors college? I’m applying this year! Also if you don’t get admitted to the honors college can you still attend the regular college?
I recommend it! I really liked the experience, I just wished I was closer to the other dorms. You apply to college first then the honors program so even if u don’t make it in you can still attend U of A.
Hey, can you make a video about the classes like the difficulty of the honors classes, any pros and cons I’m thinking of applying to the honors college and any information would be helpful! :)
@@DavidGuerrerog I am actually not an honors student, I was requested to live there by my roommate. I don’t think they are allowing that anymore. From what I’ve noticed with my roommate and friends is that the classes are hard if u don’t put in the effort but, if you are already a hard worker and willing to put in the effort it isn’t that hard. Some pros would be that some of your classes are in the honors village and some cons are that some random classes like Environmental Science have extra honors projects while other students don’t have the extra project.
Hey! Video was super helpful but do you know if the beds in the honors village are allowed to be lofted? I know that some dorm halls allow it as long as you buy the stuff but I haven’t read anything about wether or not these can be!
@@reaganhendricks7473 I never saw a lifted bed, personally, I’m 5’4 and I had to jump to get on the bed. Since it comes with storage under the bed, they didn’t offer to lift it but I’m sure there’s a way!!
Heyy , just got admitted and was looking for dorm with private bathrooms ! I am actually an international student and will be attending this fall !!!! So, my doubt is can we apply to honors village even if we aren't admitted to honors program? Or is it only for the students who are in honors? I'm kinda worried about this dorm thing :(
Too be honest... my friend requested me to be her roommate so I was never truly an honors student so I’m not really sure what they are looking for. But my friend got a 32 on her ACT.
I loved the decor in the room. Awesomeness! Yeah!
We love the decorations!
I was recently admitted and this was super helpful. Thanks so much!
This is so cute! I just finished my honors college application!! I really hope to get accepted!

this was soooooooo helpful thank you so much
Thank you for this video! Do you remember what your white storage shelf with the Keurig on it was called and/or where you bought it?
It’s from the container store! (Most of my stuff is from there actually)
It’s called a Vario Stacking Cube Whitewash!
This was so helpful!
Could you share the common areas? Also do you feel separate from the rest of campus and other freshman because of your dorm location and classes?

What brand is your fridge? Do you have a link for it?
I honestly found the fridge and microwave both on amazon! I don't have a link but I'm sure it's still there.

Hello. Can you apply for housing before accepting admin to UofA? I'm asking for my son who is sort of picky and likes quiet.
Can’t believe this was 4 years ago wtf😢
I can’t believe it either!
Where is the desk lamp from?
Target!
Is there an oven in the dorm anywhere?
I don’t believe that there are ovens in the honors village or any of the other dorms.
Feel free to ask me anything about the Dorm/ Campus!!!

Where are all of the outlets located?
There’s outlets next to the bed, near the desks and near where I put the fridge. The one by the bed had a USB input aswell.
What were the stats you submitted when you applied to the honors college?

Can we see a one bedroom dorm
