- My name is Arden and I have too many clothes. In this video, I'm going to fix that. Not that my name is Arden, but the clothes thing. Time to try on everything in my closet and purge that bad boy!! I'm not going to mention all of the brands or where I bought the clothes because boy oh boy that would take me AGES but I do make pretty good progress getting through a lot of the pieces that I need to donate or recycle soon!

My grandma once told me, never wait for a “special” occasion to wear your fancy clothes, expensive jewelry, etc. just being here on earth, that is cause for a celebration. I don’t follow any fashion rules, I just live my best life!

There are always gonna be haters out there, just remember, they’re actually hating themselves. So, don’t live life for others. Wear sequins with sneakers in the day, if you have them in your closet! leather pants are amazing, super sustainable because you can wear them forever and they don't release microplastic. girl second hand vintage leather, fur, wool is where its at!!! LOVED the for love and lemons dress as well as the little velvet pink one with the lace... this with fishnet tights, biker boots and a leather jacket... such a london look
I feel like you have better options than the skirt with the racer stripes on the side. It’s cute but there are more flattering lengths that you have 🤷♀️ that might just be me tho cause I know if I’m unsure of something and I don’t 100% love it I won’t wear it

you went through soo many things you should have donated! it kills me haha, if you say you'll only wear it at home or haven't worn it in years I would say get rid of it (except for the french dress)! I recommend gathering everything from one category (like jeans) in a pile, and picking your favorites/staples from there, especially if you're not that into jeans anymore.
I am the same way, If I haven't worn something in 1 year I will donate it.

Even worn clothes should be donated! What they do at secondhand facilities is that they check to see the wearability. If theyve got holes or gross stains on em, they then recycle the textiles that they can. I just learned this recently, too! Less waste, better for the planet. 🌷

I feel like you can make your dresses or even your "fancier" clothes more casual with like a jean jacket and or other casual articles of clothing.
That's usually what I try to do with some of my more formal and or sexier pieces of clothing.
Sometimes you need to think more outside the box about what to do with clothing you're on the fence about. I've cut dresses into shirts and jeans into shorts. Idk that's my advice. I think all of your clothes are worth keeping unless they feel uncomfortable to you and or you just dont like it period.

I no longer worry if I'm too dressed up for an occasion, now if only I could also have no worries about being dressed down for an occasion. Also, I love watching these kinds of videos but my wardrobe is literally the only thing I have under control in my life. So I don't need to get motivated to throw things out. :P

everything you weren't sure you could wear would look gr8 with a high neck jumper underneath and then BOOM London/family appropriate.
I literally have the exact same velvet top and bottom, and it could definitely go together to something formal like a wedding maybe, otherwise you can pair them with other clothes and they could work great for dinner parties.
