This boss on Expert is making me wish I never played Cuphead Edit: A message to anyone fighting this boss on Expert… Use roundabout for the second and third phases. It will save you hours of pain
Personally I think my favorite bosses are the howling aces, and chef saltBaker they're so hard and fun at the same time studio MDHR really outdid themselves.
Also here’s a small tip: if he rolls two times on the second phase, he’s guaranteed to jump over on his third. I’ve never witnessed a moment where it doesn’t follow that pattern in three attacks.
I feel like your videos never help but for some reason I always win in like 5 tries while watching them so maybe I just don’t notice how much your tips are helping

I had Ms chalice equipped already with crack shot and no converge but he said that spread was ok and I had spread equipped so full load out equipped from start
I noticed you said the icicle minions couldn't be damaged while buried... but that's incorrect! You need to duck and shoot Converge at them, and they all die instantly. The reason to use Converge for this and no other weapon is because: Converge of course has a piercing shot that hits them all pretty much at the same time. And, the middle Converge shots shoot out in a perfectly straight line, unlike any other weapon in the game. Not even Peashooter! That gun's shots are not perfectly straight.

I somehow glitched it. It was stuck in the left right animation of the first phase without any attacks of him. He only rang his little bell right before he died
when i was play this boss and i was trying to s rank it on the 2nd phase it glitched and froze the boss and gave me a free win but i took 1 damage rip me
I love how in the first phase he has normal wizard attacks and then out of nowhere he just pulls out a whale and hits you with it lmao

The howling aces had the most crazy last phase
the howling aces was pretty easy if you tilted both your head and controller, for pc players this is 10x harder

The roundabout is insanely good for this one. Try it out! I beat him in 1:08 with it. Just be sure to be precise with the shots.

crackshot and roundabout worked really well for me on that one. I just beat it yesterday

I personally think smoke bomb is the best charm for this boss. I found it easier as cuphead/mugman than chalice

Nice tip: on his first face with the icicles, pause the game to see the trajectory and move that way
Easier idea is to Do Simple Difficulty (easy) Which deletes the hard attacks to make it easy to dodge! Did it for jimmy the great and candy queen.
