Rewatching these scenes I think Carly wasn’t faking being nice to Lorenzo the entire time. On her private phone call to Sonny on the yacht she tried telling Sonny how she thought Lorenzo had a heart. I think she genuinely liked Lorenzo a little bit.
I always hate how Alexis would publicly condemn and trash Sonny all over town and then go crawling to him, asking for favours. She deserved to lose Kristina. Despite what Sonny said to her in this scene, he never would have taken Kristina away from Alexis because he knows how important it is for a child to be with both their parents. The Quartermaines are all about control and possession. As the mother of his child, she would always be protected and respected. But she thought she was better than Sonny, had the right to keep his baby from him, and look what happened. I never felt sorry for her during this time.
I dunno i think he was a bit of a psychopath lol. I think him trying to save sonny is reparations and even then If i was Sonny - after what Ric put Carly/his family through?!- Im tellin you now I dont think there’s anything he could really do and if I was a mob boss i’d make an example out of him but like soap opera mob boss - at minimum hed have to devote his loyalty to me and doing good and getting some serious serious therapy and medication Lol

Lol. I mostly agreed with Carly’s/Liz’ assessments of each other tbh. Both wanted 100% to be Jasons top priority but underestimated one another and their importance in Jasons life. But in the end Carly sure shes biased against Liz but she does know Jason very well and she knows what he really wants/what would make him happy. Sometimes better than he knows himself and one of the only ppl that will be brutally honest about his faults/blind spots and I think she was dead right about Liason not being able to go the distance and her assessment of what drew them together/why they wouldn’t work - spot on too IMO.
