I have no doubts that if the Sixers had an actual GM with a brain, there is no way they would've let Butler get out of town, Simmons or no Simmons. A big part of it, also, was that Brett Brown and Butler didn't get along because Butler was willing to challenge Brown, who generally was everyone's favorite uncle and not an actual NBA head coach. Stop making excuses for this franchise. They are the Dallas Cowboys of the NBA--all hype, no heart, and all failure.

Fans let the Knicks fans invade because no one, not a single person, is interested in watching this dumpster fire anymore. And their ownership is public enemy number one for why this franchise is an utter failure. Bad hires, terrible draft picks, partying with the two young stars instead of instilling professionalism into them. It's all on them. Letting the Knicks fans invade was Philliy's way of telling the ownership group to go find a short pier to walk off. No team had been set up better with picks and cap room ten years ago. A good hire at GM and coach would've made all the difference, but that's what good owners do. The Sixers haven't had one of those in decades.

as a sixers fan while i was obviously disappointed in the loss i got over it pretty quick. given embiid's status and the shallow depth of the team i was not expecting much, so a hard fought battle with a good team cant ask for a whole lot more.
also finally getting tobias off the team is such a lift lol. dude absolutely sucks man. even when he's scoring he's a complete ball stopper on offense, pretty good on ball defense but he's a poor rebounder for a power forward, bad off ball defense, and makes zero winning/hustle plays. If Joel doesn’t commit to taking care of his body and dropping 20 lbs, he’s not going to last. He’s been injured in all 7 of his playoffs runs. Some were flukes, but he’s injured way too often and they could have won the last 3 elimination series if he were healthy.
