Probably because he writes his songs in Norwegian, usually that isnt something people from other countries are interested in. Maybe there will be more songs in english from him after Eurovision if people are interested.

Btw You should watch this concert he did before he left for Rotterdam. It was for some of his biggest fans from the Tv-show «Haik» on NRK. Haik in Norwegian means the same as in english «hitch-hike» (picked up by a car by the road) cause the concept of this Tv-documentary is that the host picks up different Norwegian artists in her car, outside their homes, and drive them through their home city and surprises them with different things along the way (to give something back since the artists have given so much to their fans). At the end of each program the artist is having a mini-concert in a place and setting they dont know in advance.
In Tix case and because of the corona restrictions his crowd are in/outside their cars. Pretty cool. It was an amazing concert. After rhis concert its where he received «The Norwegian grammy award» which is the most prestigious grammy award an artist/musician can win in Norway

You should also watch this beautiful performance by Emelie Hollow singng «Fallen angel» as a tribute to Tix. Its from the Haik-documentary, so it was one of the surprises (she co-wrote the English lyrics to «Fallen angel». The last part when she sings to Tix (she changed the lyrics a bit, and what she sang to him made him emotional).

I recently discovered Tix and fell in love with "Fallen Angel" and "Ut Av Mørket". His story, music and image blew me away... he's not only inspirational but extraordinary in so many ways! If he sings some songs in English with his musical uniqueness, I'm sure he can conquer North America and Asia too. I get emotional every time I hear this song. It seems like a work of art to me. thank you Norway for sending Tix to Eurovision. in Europe we have discovered a great artist, a genius of music and an excellent person who is very committed to others. Tix is not like the other singers. Since Eurovision he is my favorite artist.

I have no idea what he Is singing but It sounds deep.
It is deep. Its about depression. A bit about Tix. The reason he is wearing a big coat, bandana and sunglasses is because its part of his character (but he has Touretts syndrom, so its also to hide his tics). When he was younger he was bullied and called Tix, so he decided to take ownership of that «name» and used it as his artist name. His real name is Andreas Haukeland and he is also a songwriter for international artists. He wrote the big hit «Sweet but psycho» with Ava Max which was a big hit in the UK th-cam.com/video/Y4R9LBswIiQ/w-d-xo.html ..and he has collaborated with Flo Rida fex.
Two years ago Andreas/Tix wrote a will and wanted to take his own life. At a party, he completely collapsed, and was desperate to get out of everything.
- I just went home and had decided that enough is enough. I wrote a farewell letter, and then I wrote a wilI, I found a marker and wrote my contact info, all my passwords, my PIN codes on my arm.
- I sat on the floor and cried, and I was so scared, Tix says.
A conversation with his cat Findus who came and laid in his lap was the rescue. This is how the lyrics to one of his many hits were, "I don’t want to live, but I don’t want to die». Song is called «Jeg vil ikke leve» That song was about a moment of desperation while this song «Tusen tårer» (a sequel) is about the depression that follows. His MGP song «Ut av mørket» I feel is a sequel to both songs above and its about being pulled in different directions, between the good/angel and the bad/devil, but also about hope (after a tough period).
btw he almost drowned making this music video. He wanted it to be as real as possible. He had to be rescued. His outfit was heavier than he tought under water and he was exhausted, so he sank further and further down.. (as you can see from the ending of this video)

A short explanation: This song is a follow up/sequel to his song «Jeg vil ikke leve» (I dont want to live» (he talked about that in the interview on the talkshow «Lindmo», its on his channel). That song is about a moment of desperation (when he wanted to take hos own life), while this song «Tusen tårer» (A thousand tears) is about the depression that follows.

Tusen Tårer is actually my to-die-for song, it's so beautiful, so deep, it makes me cry everytime I hear it, even if I don't know Norwegian..
But I translated the lyrics and it hits hard. Very hard. Especially if someone is struggling with psychiatric diseases and can clearly undestand his message.

On the first day of the recording, he was going to be under water for five hours. After every 30 seconds, he got air supply under water, he says, but he got quite tired. In addition, parts of the outfit floated, so he had to use weights to stay under water. But the wetter and heavier the outfit became, the harder it became to swim.
The goal was to really make it look like he was drowning in the last clip of the music video, and Haukeland turned out to want to go a little further than anyone was aware of to get the perfect picture.
- I take my last breath and hold my breath for as long as I can. I will swim to the surface, and have calculated approximately how long I use up. But then I weigh much more than I planned, he says.
It was a roof over the pool and it was completely dark, but under water there was light from all sides. Haukeland lost his sense of direction and swam the wrong way.
- For every swim stroke I took, I got pulled down. I'm not getting up. The coat is so heavy and I am losing muscle. It is easier to sink than to float.
In a way, he got scared, he actually panicked. But they had underwater speakers, so he sank to the sound of his own chorus of "A Thousand Tears."
- It was very special, he says and says:
- At one point I realized "fuck, it does not work", and then there were insanely many thoughts at once. One thought I remember was that it was awfully beautiful. That's why I held my breath for challenge, because I lay there and enjoyed the moment. Besides, we should have that clip.
After a lot of movements to try to get up, a diver comes and pulls him up.

To all the people that don’t live in Norway here is some info about TIX. As you probably guessed he has Tics(that is what his artist name is named after)/Tourettes. He makes both these types of songs (about depression and love) and a Norwigian type of music for russ (someone in their last year in high school) that is celebrated from May 1 to May 17(Norway’s national day, almost like the USA’s 4 of July). In those songs he sings about women( other stuff with people I don’t wanna write cuz I’m afraid to get banned), alcohol or drugs and stuff like that.

Он участвовал в проекте типа нашего Дома 2. Встретил там девушку Марту, но потом ей изменил и даже не извинился - сказал, что это нормально. Она сильно обиделась, конечно, и перестала с ним общаться.
К слову, раньше он пел про бухло, разгульный образ жизни и ш*юх.
Сейчас же надел маску мальчика-романтика с букетом цветочков. На деле, это едва ли про романтику - так норвежцы себя чаще всего ведут, когда тупо хотят переспать с кем-то и побыстрее (так говорили девушки, которые живут в Норвегии и знают их менталитет).
Смотрим - конкурс закончился, они разъехались. Самира сто раз сказала, что ждет его в Баку и он ей нравится, улыбается постоянно, как говорит о нем. Тикс же постит только свои концерты, о Самире ни слова за почти месяц.
Выводы?...
Вероятнее всего, у них ничего не сложится. Разные люди, разное мировоззрение. Ей нужен взрослый мужчина, а не мальчик с нестабильной психикой и весьма сомнительной моралью. Не верьте маскам, не очаровывайтесь образами... Надеюсь, и Самира здраво оценит ситуацию, благо, девочка неглупая.
