  • **Update as of 8/2022 Car has sold** I have posted an ad on Facebook Marketplace selling my 1969 Pontiac GTO. This video is to supplement that ad, for those that may be considering but don't know for sure if it is worth the drive to look at it if you are not close to my location. In the video, (some sun glare), I do a walk and talk around the car. I show the body, underside, inside, and you can see it running. My ad talks about more specifics. I can answer some questions but prefer they be asked on FB. So if you are interested, watch this video, and look up my ad and send me a message. If the ad is up, the car is available. It is driveable, but I wouldn't consider it safely driveable to get it home. I would say a car dolly or trailer would be best.

How much did you get for it? I have owned my 69 gto 31 yrs. Built in fremont, original black n yellow plates. Restored in early 2000's. 70 455 th400 low miles. very stout 455, has nos 250 horse kit installed. Painted flame red, black interior. Cars in very nice shape still, paint has imperfections but overall still quite nice. Qa1 dbl adj coilovers, adj rear suspension, umi tubular control arms snd much more. Added the qa1s recently. Much more, car comes with new parts aa well. Looking to sell it, 30 to 32k I'm thinking. The dash was Restored by just dashes, seats look new and headliner as well. New ceramic coated hooker super comp headers, 3 inch exhaust dr gas x pipe, 3.5 inch chromoly dennys nitrous ready driveshaft with Mark Williams chromoly yoke with 1350 u joints, carusso racing no drill driveshaft loop. 455 has 96 heads ported, tq 2 intake, norris stainless steel 1.65 rockers, arp screw in studs, comp cam valve train and stud girdle, 300 B6 solid lifter camshaft. Heads m bottom end arp studded, nodular crank, crank scraper, modified windage tray for better oil return, oil restrictiors in lifter galley so more oil stays at bottom end, 7 qt baffled oil pan, bored 60 over 4.210 bore and stroke, holley 850 dp carb, mallory comp 140 fuel pump, 2 regulators, -8 ptfe fuel lines, new fuel tank, pickup, lines and much more. Has a 71 buick 8.5 rearend with bolt in axles, new rebuilt with trutrac, 3.42 gears, 30 spline moser axles, timkin bearings n seals, rear brakes new with new aluminum drums, front brakes in excellent shape with braided brake lines. Has hidden headlights all new bushings, vacuum lines etc, oem hood tach, judge spoiler. There's more, had it msny yrs but just not using it much and want it taken care of. Keep the battery on tender, fuel stabilizer in it. Definitely some great memories, my dad and I had pontiacs, my dads was a 67 lemans with a jim butler 455 built to a 474 with edelbrock heads flowing 330 cfm with 13.1 compression, ran a 10.89 at 122 mph on it's first off idle pass, was a beast of a poncho!!! The pistons must have been dished because I had at one point b4 rebuilding my 455 62 heads with flat tops and it had over 12.1 compression, ran like a raped ape but needed high octane. With the 96 heads it has 9.2 to 1 compression, also the 2.11 1.77 valves!!! Great pump gas combo!!

Unfortunately, I needed the money. But- I am glad that the buyer is a restorer and that this great car won’t just be sitting in my garage. She will at least get what she needs to be running and racing again!

Cool ride! I hope you can sell her soon. I own a 1970 Oldsmobile cutlass convertible. There is a video showcasing her! Where are you located? I know many car guys in Chicago!

I am down in Ohio by Cincinnati area. I always liked those Cutlasses too. It is a shame what cars have become nowadays, all look alikes. No innovation or fun anymore.

Sorry, but I have to be real, this car needs at least $70k put into it, and that's being conservative! That combined with the admiission price and your WAY OVER THE VALUE!

I would say not that much at all. You are on left field on your estimate. I just bought a 1970 GTO 4 days ago. She needs some work also. Depends on who you will have a restoration done for the GTO. Prices vary a lot!!!
My 70 GTO is in a lot better condition, sure some things need to be upgraded also.
Story goes. You can do a hell of a nice restoration on your car for half the price.
Do your homework!!! It will pay off!!!
