  • This one's a little bit different insofar as we're looking at a Grundig Stenorette 2050. So this is completely new to me and I try to show the process of looking at this not knowing anything at all about it (I have no service manual, only the schematic). So lots of mistakes and assumptions and they're not edited out (but a lot of thoughtful silences are plus random mumbles so it may seem a little disjointed in places!). Another shorter video on these decks will be out shortly as I fix the other unit I bought but that'll be a mid-week video as I know this one won't be popular at all - you all love the video recorder repairs! 😊

Note that I do keep wanting to and do say Stenocette rather than Stenorette - even the title in the video has it! Just seems a more logical name and I can't get it out of my head...
    Chapters:

31:20 How the tape transport switch is assembled

34:20 Did I put both springs in?

Thank you - really lifted my spirits to see your comment as it's a bit off topic from the usual content (but not for the channel - still must do that introductory video!). Really glad you enjoyed it and very much appreciated.
