Thanks for the video Ange - I love the giraffe socks - so much fun to wear. I have finished the 12 casts on that I managed to cast on and have knit some socks for my eldest for their birthday since then..they also sent me a project that would not play for them so it appears I am now knitting Freddy Mercury's string vest in shocking Pink. You never know where this crafting will take you.. Jan aka the _MotherThing
Oh wow Jan that is amazing, I haven’t even finished one of my 12 cast ons yet let alone all 12 you are amazing 🤩 hehe the pink string vest sounds fabulous what a great project hope you have fun with it 🧡
I feel vicarious satisfaction about the giraffe socks getting finished. I had one finished object in January, my Crown-Shy Beanie, and none in February. I did get a lot of a rainbow grannie star blanket made, though.
Goodness! With a 4/5ths time job, an online shop, all your making and you're still managing to record, edit and upload more videos! I'm so pleased you finished your giraffe socks, they are terrific 😊
Hehe well I like to keep myself busy. Though with all the family stuff thrown in to the mix at the moment video making as slipped a bit but hopefully I’ll have more time for it again this month 🤞🤞
Hi Ange. Lovely to see you as always. How cute are the giraffe socks. Definitely worth finishing them. Hope your tunic turns out how you want it. The colours are perfect together. The spindle spun yarn reminded me of gingerbread. All those colourful mini's were joyful. I've a few health things going on and my making has been slow. Been enjoying crocheting a granny square made from magic knot ball. Hope you're well. Looking forward to seeing you soon. Take care. Xx💕🌈
Hi Ange, I hope you're OK xx ❣️❣️❣️❣️ Thankyou so much for sharing this video podcast and your Round Up for January and February. 😊😊 I love the Giraffe Socks 🦒🧦 I love the idea of a Tunic Sweater, they are so easy to wear. Love the socks that you made for your colleague, 🧦 Congratulations on all the Handspun Yarns you did for the 100 Days Spindle Spinning, they all look amazing. Love the idea of an Advent Fibre Spin for the Tour De Fleece. That was a Wonderful Gift. Hope you have a Wonderful Week 😊😊 Happy Spinning and Knitting Special Fibre Friend 🎡🧶🐑🥰🥰🌈🌈 Take care and stay safe Lots of love and Big Woolly Hugs Jen xxxx ❤❤❤❤🐑🐑🫂🫂🫂🫂🐈⬛
Thank you so much Jen I’m so happy to have finished the Giraffe socks and they have been keeping my feet nice and toasty warm. Hope you have been having a lovely weekend xx
Yay for finishing the giraffe socks!! 👏🏻 these would have been my nomination if I got picked to pick a project for you! I’m so pleased you finished them rather than frogging! They’re fantastic! 🎉
Always lovely to see what you’ve been up to! I am totally excited as well about the mystery bags of fibers for you to spin! They do look like a pink and purple selection in the main which would make a fabulous garment- eventually! Love the giraffe socks too! I am still loving learning to spin and have now found a local group which I am starting next month so I’m hoping for some guidance from ladies who actually know what they are doing 🤣. take care and thanks for a great video x
Great video. Love the striped tunic - hope all works out well size-wise. Congrats on the giraffe socks too - they’re beautiful. Am going to wonderwool for the first time this year, so now know more fibre people to look out for. Thanks for that too.
Thanks Mary, I hope so too. I just cast off yesterday and I’m currently waiting for it to soak after its bath so I should know in the next day or two whether it will stay at the longer length or if I’ll just rip back. Ooh that’s so exciting we’ll have to try and arrange a meet up, it would be so lovely to get to meet you in person if we can x
Oh that’s wonderful Heather well done for getting 5 of your cast ons finished, you are putting me to shame I haven’t even finished one of mine yet!! 🤣🤣 I need to get a move on
Hi Ange! I’ve been dealing with tendinitis in my right wrist, so my knitting has taken a back seat. I was beginning to get too sad about it, so I saw a doctor and got a cortisone shot. It’s been two weeks and I’m better, so I’m back to knitting. I’m being careful to rest my hands. My first finished object from 2024 were the green woodpecker socks! I love that color way. I hope your job is going well. Take care!
Hey. Greetings from Bir in India where i visit a buddhist retreat right now. Lovely to see all your progress. I finished my floof sweater by skeindeer and my nilay shawl by @knidhiknits from the 12 cast ons. I now work on Jojis new Amren shawl as a simple retreat project. Also spinning on my new tibetan supported spindle. I love it but it's a bit noisy due to the metal tip. I started spinning in tibetan language class with it, to keep me sane and remind me of my motivation to learn the language. Have a great day
I am still working in my 12 casts pn projects. Very close to finish the first sock and a cowl (which I am pushing to finish because I need to needle to do something else!). Ypur sweater looks amazing!
You always inspire me to make but I have 6 more weeks before I’m supposed to be using my arm stupid rotator cuff luckily my surgery went well and I’m on the mend. So I’m just making lists of things to start. Your giraffe socks are gorgeous you should write up your pattern for them. Your sweater is beautiful. Stay well
So happy to hear that your surgery went well Joel. I hope the next 6 weeks speed by so you can get back to all of your lovely projects and maybe treat yourself to a new cast on or two 🤞🤞
Hi Ange! You inspired me to work up an Emotional Support Chicken using some handspun, which I finished the other day, and I'm really loving it!! I've also gone through some old WIPs and ripped back some that I wasn't going to finish, which is honestly so nice. I'm about at the limit for the amount of yarn I can store here too, so I really need to work through my stash! Unfortunately that means I need to hold off on spinning anything new until I use some stuff up, so I better get knitting!
I saw your fabulous chicken over on Instagram and love it, I’m so happy you felt inspired to make one, I haven’t quite finished mine but it’s such a fun project isn’t it. Good luck with your stash goals, I’m here cheering you on 😃🧡🧶
Hello there! I so look forward to watching your round up videos - always so inspiring to see your makes. Love the giraffe socks, so cool that you designed them yourself! I've finished 6 of my 12 cast on's so far in 2024 - a test knit (the I Am No Man pullover was just released this week!) for Nicole Larkin-York, a cowl, a couple pairs of socks, a color-work hat, and a cotton lace tank for my daughter, Eowyn. Still plugging away on my combo spin for a traveler shawl, and trying to get a couple more projects done and off the needles before we go on our cruise this next month. I have no idea what kind of knitting project to take on the ship with me but I know I'll need one! Any suggestions would be so welcome 😅
I have a question to ask you, and if you can give me an answer, I would greatly appreciate it, how do you combine your spindle spinning or your support spindle spinning together to create one long strand or skein of yarn? Is there a video or a book that I can look at or purchase that gives me instructions on how to do that instead of having several little mini balls of plyed yarn. Your yarn always looks so beautiful and polished. Thank you in advance.

Aww thank you Marquita that’s so kind of you to say. I’m sure you could draft up a chart and make something similar in crochet 😃🥰🧡

Aww thank you Sam, I’m really pleased that I finally finished them after all this time. 🥰🧡😃
I love your stripe sweater. The couple rows of garter look like an icord…very nice!
Thank you 🥰 I’m keeping everything crossed that I like the fit once it’s off the needles 🤞🤞

Your handspun tunic is GLORIOUS!!!! I have finished 5 of my 12 cast-ons, and, of course, cast on way too many other things. :)

The fleece advent gets a chance to double up as a Christmas in July project if Tour de Fleece is in July.
Ooh yes that is a very good point, thank you 🧡🥰🧡
It's Green Woodpecker. I'm also knitting a pair of socks with the same yarn.
It’s such a lovely colourway isn’t it 😃🧡
