I didn't have a lot of radiation all at once but I did get repeated exposure to a small area for cancer treatment. It did kill the cancer and damage to the skin in the area not complete death. Have been in remission for 8 years so everything has turned out well for me.
I work in IT in a call centre. I've had customers complain that their internet stopped working when they put their router into a Faraday bag they got from Amazon. Try explaining to them that the bag stops the WiFi from the router to their devices. "So what do I do now?" "Take the router out of the bag?" "But then the WiFi will kill me!" "Radiation from the sun is 100x more damaging to you than WiFi, so if you're worried about WiFi, I hope you've never been outside in your life. I've told you what you need to do to fix the issue, have a nice day"
In the military, we were taught to lay on the ground with our feet or heads towards the blast on top of our rifle so it wouldn't blow away. Maybe that was so our rifles could be recovered by whoever discovers our corpses.
There was a story about a telescope that kept getting hit with severe interference. It turned out that what caused it was the microwave because when people opened it before it was done a small amount of microwaves would fly out and mess with the extremely sensitive equipment.
if you want the short answer without having to listen to someone pontificate about it - read the following sentences. Radiation, or rather radioactive waves when exposed to them will traverse your body (like sound would) but in the process they might knock off bits of DNA from your cells. What this means is that the next generation of that cell (remember mitosis and miosis yeah?) will be rather than mutated just abnormal will just be missing chuncks of information and thus of your capacity. This happens to all the cells of your body as they 'divide' into the next generation (when exposed to significant levels of radiation). If you are actually interested there is a dude who was kept alive 8 days (against his will - by scientists) once contaminated "the radithor incident". By the end dude just looked like he had come out of the movie/anime 'Akira'.
Why are you making "educational videos" about topics you know nothing about. The fact that you're scared of microwaves and lump them into ionizing radiation is bizarre.
WTF? Radiation exposure is not bad. If you were not exposed to radiation you'd be dead within a few minutes at most. Radiation exposure is critical to life.

Pretty sure if youre unlucky you end up being a feral ghoul, if not Fallout teaches us you have very long life ahead

You turn into a ghoul. duh, i bet my caps
Lol! Fall Out!!!!
War never changes 😔
Hopefully not a feral ghoul! 😂. I'm playing FO4, right now, with some new mods!

HAPPY NEW YEAR KARL! THANKS FOR THIS ❤❤❤❤❤

Another fun fact about radiation is even if you live offgrid you're still exposed to radiation that comes from space bombarding the planet.
Can you make a video about why it is radiation can both cause and treat cancer? I've read a bit, but a video would be nice.
Love the bedding. Cool.
great job. nice bed spread. miss you ks.
Great job Mr. Smallwood. ... I always wondered what DOES exactly happen after radiation exposure. I suppose it's pretty complicated so.. here we go!
I thought you had changed your name to Carl Greatwood. I really enjoy your work
3:25 "I know that one's who love us, will miss us" Keanu Reeves
THAT'S what happens when we die!!
Sugar and phosphate, eh? I eat a lot of apples, so is rhe backbone of my DNA technically *cider*!?!
As a kid, I wanted to believe Marvel's Incredible Hulk had it figured out

Yay Carl 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 I love it when you do the top tenz.
KAAAAAARL! WE MISSED YOU!!
Radiation scary.
Lol I went to Barbering College, Peroxide is not the same as Hydrogen Peroxide homie xD
What happens when you're exposed to radiation? You die. Either slowly or quickly depending. Happy New Year Karl.
Having the day I deserve, being completely lazy with a hangover but a dose of Karl before the cricket begins. 😊
The best way to deal with Fallout is to crawl out through it
Most UV is non-ionizing, but has ionizing effects regardless
Hi Karl!
Depends on how many RADs, but chances are death.
Why is so difficult to have the legendary Karl Smallwood as the Permanent Host, as well as Host of all related channels?
Algorithm engagement!
What if i am exposed after taking massive amounts of steroids and iodine? Will somehow gain super powers?
No billy, no you wont, you will just die.
Hey it's the tangent guy!
Oh no. He's back 😢
Is he trying to warn us for something?
Karl!
Four, fantastic four (duh duh duh duh)
Fact feennnnn
Your Wazukee falls off!
Karl!!!

I live in an area affected by this, Elon's right.
Oh Karl... why? The Fact Fiend himself... speaking untruths?
Michael Phelps does NOT have webbed toes.
For shame Karl. For shame.
