josh benware Yeah,Big time. Very least it would have probably taken off the cylinder. The worst part would have been explaining to my wife why I snuck out of the house when I was still on Dr orders to not be doing anything 😁
You are so write there Mike I definitely do not ever want a double charge. I will take a squib round again before a double charge . It’s funny after my one and only squib round knock on wood I started way every round I weighed to make sure there was power in every one . I think I figured out how it happed because I was making a dam video have a great Thursday Mike.
Love the Lee .310 and 2400. Glad that squib was your last round! When I was a teenager me and my buddy was loading some 44 on his dads press and loaded a squib. I was shooting them in an old, cheap R G industries revolver and it just went pop. Luckily we stopped and unloaded the gun and looked down the barrel. If I would have pulled the trigger again that old gun would have came apart and no telling what it would have done to us. Happy Father’s Day too you too!
Georgiaboy44 I’m getting some great groups and velocities with that combo. The squib was in one of those 38 special “Keith” loads I sent you the link for. That would have been interesting to say the least! Don’t think my Taurus would have survived
Dang it I hate squibs I just had my first one a month ago and I hope I never have one again now Mike I glad one else out there likes 800X powder I really like this powder great video mike
It definitely gets the heart pumping and adrenaline going. Probably be like jumping out of a perfectly good airplane! 😂 I think I’d rather have a squib than a double charge. Squibs you can usually tell and catch them before you shoot again. A double charge is just going to go BOOM! and goodbye gun at the very least. 😳
Glad you caught it . I once had a guy shooting next to me in a bowling pin match have that happen . He didn't catch it and let another round go . It blew up the Gold cup .45 in his hands . He suffered nerve damage to his right hand for quite a while when it blew the magazine out the bottom . i thought I had one a while back shooting my .380 . It went poof instead of bang . I pulled the slide off and the barrel was clear so I don't really know what that was about .
James Pollard I’ve been lucky enough to never be around when someone has done that. I thought it was a hang fire when it happened. When I opened the cylinder and all the clumps of powder fell out I figured it had lodged in the barrel
Wow, I've experienced one well my son was shooting and bang ! bang ! pop ! Told him hold it lets check it out and sure enough, it sent chills thru me ....glad it turned out to be your last shot
op25ttfd It’s one of those things that I’ve always worried about and I think that is why I came off the trigger so quick. Just dumb luck it was #7 in the cylinder 😇 Somehow the powder got contaminated and didn’t burn.
fuzztfork8 What I really need is to quit being miserly and buy a real camera to use instead of my beat up phone, download a good editing program and have my grandkids show me how to use it 😆
Damn! Lucky you! That one was right past the forcing cone...probably would have hurt you had you had another shot left!

That'll wake you up in the morning!
Loads of Bacon Oh yeah! Quicker than a pot of coffee and a big plate of 🥓!! 😁
And the scariest thought for me was possibly loosing my Taurus!
I have a 7-shot .357 mag Taurus - I know what you mean.

That is my biggest fear

Mike, it could have been worse.. You need to turn your camera on its side so we can see better video..
