I use those and also found cheap eagle claw neko weedless hooks at Walmart that basically look the same and I get way more hook ups also. I use heat shrink to attach the worm. I throw to laydowns and while it's not 100% weedless its still really easy to get a snag out on my kayak. I just rig it wacky instead.
You should consider ditching the O-Rings and using instead some clear shrink tubing cut about 3/8" in length. Get the shrink tubing a tiny bit larger in diameter than your worm and apply heat to it until it perfectly matches the outside diameter of your Senko. Then you can run your hook at any angle through any part of the shrink tubing, and it will keep your worm from getting damaged after only a few casts or a few catches. Use whatever hook you chose. The shrink tubing is used to prolong the life of your Senkos. I started out using the colored shrink tube that was the closest match to my worm, before I discovered that clear shrink tubing was available. Try it for yourself.
Your tip of using the VMC Neko weedless hook a few years ago has increased my hookup ratio significantly. I love the VMC saddles as well. Money!!
Yea I agree vmc hooks and saddles are the only way. Thank you Mr. Quince
