Dropping Maliss trivia here because there’s more than I thought and it has quickly become my favourite archetype right now. Choosing Alice in Wonderland actually makes sense for the secondary theme as Alice is often used as a placeholder name in cryptography scenarios. The Japanese name of the archetype, MⱯlice, references the same, plus that upside down A is a thing in mathematical logic, which could be referring to Lewis Carroll’s work in that field. But also it serves as a visual pun on how Wonderland is an “upside down” world where logic makes no sense. All of the card names include something similar to a HTML tag (, , ) although only the latter 2 are real standing for paragraph and quotation respectively, so this might just be coincidence. The monster cards are well chosen though. Each one is based on a specific kind of malware or something related. Chessy Cat is a reference to BlackCat which is a type of ransomware, Dormouse is referencing MouseJack which involved exploiting a hardware based UI vulnerability to inject keyboard and mouse input, White Rabbit references Bad Rabbit which was another ransomware program, Hearts Crypter is the biggest stretch being named for the French word “crypter” literally meaning “to encrypt”, Red Ransom is a more general reference to ransomware, and finally White Binder is a reference to fie binders which are a utility program commonly used by hackers to insert malware into normally harmless files. Also, there is a related card called Mad Hacker. What he’s referring to should be obvious. Keeping on with the monster cards, and getting back to the HTML-like tags in their names, those are actually referring to chess pieces. Specifically, the main deck monsters are pawns and the link monsters are queens. This is probably a reference to Through the Looking Glass and the rule of promotion in Chess as this actually happens to Alice in that book. Speaking of Through the Looking Glass, Red Ransom and White Binder are based on characters from it, those being the Red and White queens. The rest of the archetype’s monsters are based on characters from Alice in Wonderland. Those being the Cheshire Cat, Dormouse, White Rabbit, and Queen of Hearts. Additionally, all four of these cards have playing card suits in the background of their arts. Clubs for Chessy Cat, diamonds for Dormouse, and hearts for the other 2. I’m not sure if this has any more significance than just being a general reference to Alice in Wonderland having a lot of playing card theming though. Moving onto the trap cards, their names are all references to chapters in Alice in Wonderland, and now the in them makes sense. The acronym is the title (I’m pretty sure, they might just be phrases from the given chapter) and the number is the chapter number. GWC-06is “Grin Without a Cat”, MTP-07 is “Mad Tea Party”, and TB-11 is “Three Blasts”. Finally, the original reveal was 5pm JST, 5pm being the time on the White Rabbit’s watch in the Disney movie adaptation.
And Mad Hacker is somewhat of a thematic bridge card into Live*Twin/Evil*Twin, another waifu archetype based on bad Internet behavior, and if they're all in the same world then the Twins would be the waifu versions of Tweedledee and Tweedledum.

Maliss doesn't help the libros because they have to summon other supertypes to have in grave for Singularity and OG Darkfluid. (you have to be able to make Desavewurm with Cyberse sage and sync them both off for Quantum Dragon, for example)
in a world were Maliss didn't have the link lock through, you could easily fit libromancer in here, you just maybe make room for the rituals and libro stuff (the bystials and the kashtira stuff would probably be the cuts), make room for Intervention in the trap lineup, and make a few small changes to the ED (switch out splash mage for Cyberse Witch who fulfills the same role without the maindeck Cyberse lock, get Quantum in here to get Sage and Desavewurm in the bin, swap out Teraherz and OG Firewall out for OG Darkfluid and Firewall Dragon Singularity, and find some easy xyz to make)
But I guess Konami thinks some gay quirked up boys don't belong in the link lesbian safe space
Wait is this like the blend between wizard of oz and Star Wars in kozmo? Minus the fan service
Out of curiosity, I was looking to play yugioh online, but master duel is less than appealing, what program do you use for my?
14:00 Maybe Accesscode Will get Hit on the Banlist One Day like the rest of the Generic Extra deck Monsters.
Mbt is there any reason you don't just also post these intros to shorts/tiktok? I feel like they could pop off
Just waiting for the asia English version.
Skit was great 😂
"Ten Minute Testing"
the video 22 Minutes
Is this post banlist?
what are they trying to do with sanctum without scythe?
Lancea stops the banishes the deck needs.
probably lancea specifically to counter maliss
Ah, good old Ten (twenty) Minute Testing.
Banish monster do combo
my Ghoti brain is interested
They link lock
@@Zakibey123 well yeah no not as a hybrid deck, obviously; Spright works better in that regard (especially in MD since Elf is still legal)
No i meant "I love Ghoti so I might like this too for similar reasons"
So i was playing maliss and my opp did use necroface and my hand was s... and i banish dormouse rabbit cat dotscaper and gold sarc
liked the deck better when it didn't feel like a mandatory option
