My teenage regret was how young I was when I started drinking. Every time I made a mistake I really regretted was when I had been drinking. I can look back and kind of laugh now, but the amount of times I passed out on someone’s living room floor, or thrown up is sad. When I turned 17 I realized I was being ridiculous and learned how to have fun without doing dumb stuff.

Both of my parents worked from home AND homeschooled my sister and I and it was AWESOME! My dad travelled a lot so we always got to travel as a family. I have so many awesome memories traveling the world all together so much more often that just spring and summer breaks. I learned so much from them by us all being under the same roof sometimes. I’m so grateful for that opportunity, and I hope you give it to your kids if you can.

On the regretting moving thing, i think its good you did it cause a part of you might have always wondered what would have happened if you hadnt. Ive had the same thing happen to me and even though the move ruined my life, at least I now know that that state wasnt for me.
Especially since they're considering moving, not saying they'd move to LA.. but if aspyn didn't move there they would probably consider moving to LA or somewhere around there, but now that she knows she wouldn't like it they wouldn't bother trying again
My parents have traveled with me since I was 2 months old. I would not trade anything for all the vacations I’ve been on. I’m so glad that they blessed me with the opportunity! I’m excited for you guys to start traveling with your kids and a young age!
I’m majorly type A as well and that aspect of having kids was the best thing that ever happened to me. It helped me to relax and enjoy life more instead of always trying to figure everything out ahead of time. It was a huge, uncomfortable transition but so so worth it. What matters is that you are ready and also your partner. Dont try to get it over with or force it. Also it's important that you both know each other really well and actually enjoy each others company. Another thing i noticed is that he/she has to be able to make you laugh and also you being able to make your partner laugh.
There's a lot of ways to know if you're compatible with someone without sex. I hate the whole "you gotta test drive the car" mentality. Humans are not objective to "try out." Sex you can practice and get better at, you cannot say the same about personality traits and how people treat you. I said this whole rant to end with I am not against premarital sex, just the "try before you buy" mentality.

Andrea Ryan I mean there are plenty of reasons to be against it. It impairs your senses. It's one of the major factors in abusive relationships with significant others/kids. It has been THE factor in so many reckless deaths whether that be fights, car accidents, playing with weapons, etc. And you can get your blood/alcohol levels so high that you get blood poisoning and die. Sooo there are plenty of reasons to be against it without trying it.

I think it's great that you don't drink. You never have to experience so many unpleasant realities like hangovers, stupid actions etc. When you do have kids, as a mom of three I would DEFINITLY recommend starting everything early. Going out to eat, going shopping, traveling etc. That way everything seems a part of normal life and they grow up knowing how to behave and interact.

I’m 18 and my family takes yearly vacations to Florida or California or on a cruise and I’m so glad we did because now I am never afraid to take a plane or travel to a new place really, it’s cool!! Along with the awesome memories, that’s one of the favorite things about us doing that!! And I’ve been on like 35+ plane rides so all that is not new to me, I know how to pack and get through an airport without being stressed. It’s good!! I can’t wait to have a husband and kids so we can do the same things!!
