I agree. Based on personal experience working with an investment advlsor, I currently have $985k in a well-diversified portfollo that has experienced exponential growth. It sucks that Marcus, jeff Bezos, and etc were poor and probably in a worse place than you now. Makes you realize that you are the problem.
Yeh, but aspiration and expectations are different. I get your point though. But I think his point was you won’t make an effort beyond what you desire to achieve. How much you want to achieve that’s how much effort you’ll put in.

Creating wealth entails establishing positive routines, I had only $78k to my name at 42 when I first woke up to this reality. I chose the stock market as a medium of growth, got an excellent financial advisor, Financial management is a vital subject that many avoid, often leading to future regrets.
Indeed, currently I'm managing my finances wisely and being frugal. In the last 19 months, my investments grew by 43%, adding over $500K in profits. However, I've had losses in the past month, making me anxious. I'm unsure whether to sell everything or wait.
I agree, having a financial - advisor for investing is genius! Not long ago amidst the pandemic crash in March 2020, I was really having investing nightmare prior touching base with advisor. In a nutshell, i've accrued over $550k with the help of my advisor from an initial $120k investment thus far.

I'm a multi-millionaire...by no means a billionaire though. People have asked me what my keys to success are and I say, "the greatest advantage I had was having no advantage at all". The problem with this generation is they believe they are entitled to everything, and very few have a clue as to what a hard days work is. I was not born into poverty but we were by no means rich....not even middle class. Everything I wore came from hand-me-downs and thrift stores. I grew up on a small farm and I was exposed to hard work at a very young age. Before school began every morning I had more chores to do than most kids today have in a year. Up before dawn to collect the eggs, feed the animals, water the animals, collect firewood, chop firewood, start the fire in the house, etc. This was "before" school even started. Nothing was given to me...everything was earned. If I wanted money I had to earn it. I developed an entrepreneurial spirit at a very young age, too. I walked for miles collecting .05 bottles that I'd turn in for money, I grew vegetables in the garden and sold them, etc. If you have nothing, and you have dreams of having something...you figure out how to get it....and once you get it don't spend it. Spend less than you make and learn how to make your money work for you. Those were the secrets to my success.
Actually no. That was a collection of bullshit with no substance as to how you earned a dime. Thank you modern republican for your double speak, but I still believe in truth and logical correspondence over madness and am therefore a democrat.
@@chrisnoecker5287 No substance, huh? If you say so. I presume what you're looking for is a step-by-step playbook of every decision I've made good & bad over the last 25 years. A "Tell All" book that you can follow to get rich, huh? There are countless books and videos out there if that's what you're looking for. That said, I could tell you how to start and run a business...but you won't because I can tell immediately that you have no work ethic and it would fail. I could tell you what investments to make...but you can't because you don't have the capital to do so. Instead, what you want is for someone to unilaterally give you millions. I would suggest your best bet is to play the lottery. What I did give you were basic concepts on what helped get me to where I am today. You can take it or leave it. I could care less if you follow my advice because my principles have served me well enough to see my 2021 W2's with approx 1.75M in gross earnings. I've ran into people like you my entire life and people like you are always the same...angry at those that have worked hard and EARNED what they have. You want what they have, but you don't want to work for it. If you can't have it...then nobody should have it...or perhaps redistribute everything so everyone has the same. Your "Democrat" mantra, right. You're probably in your 20's or 30's and like most of your generation you feel entitled and you believe that life owes you something. Let me tell you something...life owes you nothing but death in the end. It's guaranteed to all of us...rich and poor alike. Sadly, people like you will always live a less than mediocre life and will in all likelihood be dead broke throughout your life...always in debt and always envious and angry of those that have more than you. Nonetheless, good luck with that "Democrat" lifestyle. Write me back in 25 years with an update.
@@chrisnoecker5287 republican here. I’ll answer your sarcastic, emotional response. I served in the military for 6 years, just like the man in the video above. I took my 9-11 GI bill, and earned my bachelors degree, while collecting my basic allowance for housing of $2400 a month. I shared an apartment with 3 other dudes. Lived really cheap. Saved $1,000 a month living off ramen/tuna for 3.5 years. Was hired right out of school, used my VA Loan to buy my first home. Put my savings into fixing up this home, rented out 2 bedrooms for a few years as a young man. Sold the house, used a 1031 exchange to roll my capitol gains into a new home, no money down with another VA loan along with a ton of equity from the 1031 exchange. Moved into that house with my wife. Put years of time effort and work into improving it. Sold it for 625k only owing 120k on it. Bought the home we live in now in Washington state. Put a tiny home on our property. Air BNB that. It pays our mortgage and then some. I’m 32. Zero debt. Own well over half a million in real estate. Have a TD Ameritrade and fidelity account. Bought in during this recession while everyone was panicking and the market was all red. I’m def not going to be a billionaire. But I will be a quiet millionaire, laughing at the all the conceited, pompous, arrogant college kids working at Starbucks getting a liberal arts degree claiming the world and government owes them something and how all “rich” people are evil. I’m that republican who you would belittle and insult simply for having a different idea of how our government should be run. I’m sure you never served a day for this nation, so insults from folks like you don’t really mean much. Matter of fact they’re just fuel for me to earn more, and live better than my neighbors with “build back better” signs in their yards, as our nation plunges into an economic recession the likes of which haven’t been seen for 40 plus years. My opinion for young people is you need to be both a dividend investor and a growth investor, basically how i made my first million also i use an FA James Fletcher Brennan. For example if I just got a 1000% gain on Tesla and then pulled 85% of the money out and went into a load of more stable dividend stocks like CVX So I would say diversify, but also use those growth opportunities to build the capital to invest in the dividend payers (or in cash flowing real estate)

Luck will not do anything. It is all about the hard work you put in and the sacrifices you make. Surround yourself with people who have serious mindsets and only want to succeed in life. Nothing more. I have learnt that sitting down at home in this quarantine, watching hours go by is just a waste of my time. It is hard for one to dedicate themselves to success but once they have that motivation and determination, that fuel that drives them to wake up every single morning, they will achieve their goal. Personally for me, I do not want to worry about bills in the future and be able to provide for myself and take things easy. Start when you are young, find something that interests you and at first improve your craft on it, do not worry about the money at all, if you are doing everything right, the money will flow in naturally. All those excuses you make, forget them all.

The issue with successful people and succession is that in most cases, people like Dan, have no idea what just happened, they just know it happened and it was good for them, but they can't pass it down because they don't know exactly what they did, like he said, he's not an engineer, in other words, like many (not all) self-made wealthy individuals, he's not the smartest guy in the room, he just "does things", and sometimes they work and sometimes they don't, regardless, he keeps going forward.
“The best way to measure your investing success is not by whether you’re beating the market but by whether you’ve put in place a financial plan and a behavioral discipline that are likely to get you where you want to go.”.
Believing in myself enough to take some risks, make mistakes, not beat the sh$t out of myself but instead just learn and move forward has made a big difference. Just not being afraid of making mistakes is a big step for anyone.
Just do it, and then once you do, you will wish you had done it sooner, coming from personal experience, if you want it bad enough it will all work out, but you will only get out of it what you put in.
"show me your friends and I'll show you your future" is true. It's insane how much discipline it takes to break free from them if you have low performing friends. None of my friends have big goals, nobody tries to achieve something big. They all have the A4 lifestyle and some just waste their time on video games, then go to work and repeat. I hear this "show me your friends" quote when I was 18 and thought it was bullshit, I thought I could break free whenever I wanted. Now... 7 years later I'm still in the same spot, the only new thing is I was forced to get a job to survive, and I have a 3 room apartment. My friends are the same, and so am I. I think it's time to make some hard decisions and change.
I found out years ago that it's even better to be solo than have loser friends. This isn't just about material success either - it's about making the most of who you want to be and do it your way. The material success will follow in a way that you'll be satisfied with. You don't have to be rich.
@天堂心臟 yes, there's only power/control, pleasure, or meaning. People who just think about power and pleasure are usually short on living meaningful lives. Find out what means something to you first and you'll find pleasure and power (real peace) from within...THEN share that with the world. You'll start out a success and build upon it rather than doing this or that "to be successful." Want always comes from a place of not having/sense of lack. It's a carrot on a stick. Come from a place of being and fulfillment will already be yours, and it will be something you're compelled to share with the world.
@天堂心臟 nobody said u need to have successful friends to be successful. "Show me your friends and ill show your your future" means to surround yourself with friends that are sucessful in the things u do. And thats for those who want to be successful in what he or she do. If u dont care about sucess, ignore it. U dont have to stop making friend with ur other friends, just spend lesser time hanging out with them. And its wrong to believe that money is power, there are some things money cant buy. Wealth, most of the time, is one big lie...most importany in life is to an honest life and have peace...and you know, not be cold, naked, hungry, and so forth
Whats most important in life, is what is most important to you. If you don't love and embrace the cruel lifestyle of big buisness, you won't make it. I guess you want happiness for yourself, and those around you that you care about. Some people stay single, and get multiple lovers, living for themselves. Others want kids, from 1 kid to a dozen. Some just want to work a certain field, a certain job they love and are about to do skillfully. You can't take money with you, but money does take alot of stress out of life and relationships, its just the way life is. Wouldn't it be great, if you could do what you love? Trump said it best imo, that you need to love being a businessman. I've seen him be a scumbag, but I've also seen him work his ass off most all his life. He does what he sets his mind to: not everyone can do that. Though he did have a leg up on others, he still was and is very successful. You earn money by borrowing money and investing, reducing liabilities and increasing assets. And never giving up is true: if it was easy and worked the first try, there would be more wealthy people in the world.

It sucks that Marcus, jeff Bezos, and etc were poor and probably in a worse place than you now. Makes you realize that you are the problem.
Two important things I learned from this video:
You must sacrifice and “You won’t exceed your highest aspiration”.
Yeh, but aspiration and expectations are different. I get your point though. But I think his point was you won’t make an effort beyond what you desire to achieve. How much you want to achieve that’s how much effort you’ll put in.

Love this
Actually no.
My opinion for young people is you need to be both a dividend investor and a growth investor, basically how i made my first million also i use an FA James Fletcher Brennan. For example if I just got a 1000% gain on Tesla and then pulled 85% of the money out and went into a load of more stable dividend stocks like CVX So I would say diversify, but also use those growth opportunities to build the capital to invest in the dividend payers (or in cash flowing real estate)
i’ve just taken a deep dive into investing, dividend growth investment as it interests me. hoping to get to the big dogs someday.

Thanks

The issue with successful people and succession is that in most cases, people like Dan, have no idea what just happened, they just know it happened and it was good for them, but they can't pass it down because they don't know exactly what they did, like he said, he's not an engineer, in other words, like many (not all) self-made wealthy individuals, he's not the smartest guy in the room, he just "does things", and sometimes they work and sometimes they don't, regardless, he keeps going forward.

You don't have to be rich.
i mean you can make a living off of video games but yea if you’re not smart about it then yea you’re wasting your time
@天堂心臟 yes, there's only power/control, pleasure, or meaning. Come from a place of being and fulfillment will already be yours, and it will be something you're compelled to share with the world.
just focus on yourself, raise your vibration and the rest will fall away as you move towards your higher self in strength
This guy has an entrepreneurship mindset thats why he said that quote, thats why he said it for people who wants to be entrepreneur or wants to become successful.

Yes stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are alot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look.
Since the crash, I've been in the red. I’m playing the long term game, so I'm not too worried but Jim Cramer mentioned there are still a lot of great opportunities, though stocks has been down a lot. I also heard news of a guy that made $250k from about $110k since the crash and I would really look to know how to go about this.

Wealth, most of the time, is one big lie...most importany in life is to an honest life and have peace...and you know, not be cold, naked, hungry, and so forth
Im so on board with this. Peace and harmony man between all. Be like Jesus man. That's the ultimate life.
Obviously you also have to make a living for yourself as well x'D But there is a balance too it all...🙏
How is it a lie?

The way i took his statement: Hang out with idiots and your also an idiot.. so therefore by not being around fools you are in a much better position.
I have found that for me to truly be affective i must be SELECTIVE in what, who and where i put my mind.
Actually by not having fools around you, you are one step ahead of others who do. You don't have to go through the separation phase of dropping folks from your life. Its not easy as some will get hostile and some will go criminal on you simply for saying I'm not going to be spending time with you anymore.. Wisdom isn't knowing things..Wisdom is the APPLICATION of knowledge... God bless you and your quest to change lives. The more lives I bless the more I AM Blessed. Yes there is a clue in here.

Ritt Jr., Michael J.. A Lifetime of Riches (pp. 27-28).
poverty is man made? Well then its impossible to end going by your logic. At least we live in a time where millions upon millions are being dragged out of poverty due to advances in technology every year, and those in poverty have more opportunities to drag themselves closer to the stars.
@@jonlawford7426 why on Earth would that make it impossible to end? And why assume that advances is technology drag people out of poverty. They have the potential to. Wherever they do or not relies on the will of man. Take the UK, obviously technology improves year in year out, but austerity politics has pushed more people into poverty (especially kids actually) therefore there is not a DIRECT (positive or negative) relationship between tech an poverty. The 1st World War was man made, its stopped though, didn't it?
It's wealth that is man made not poverty. What we consider poverty in today's world was once the baseline condition and the way that almost everyone lived . It wasn't until very recently that we gained so much wealth and prosperity globally that we're at the point where poverty now seems like the anomaly to us when in reality its the norm and it is wealth that is the anomaly
