UDEEK a short film by Gaurav Rana

Theme :
The film is short romantic thriller telling a story of a soldier who went missing in a war and finds himself In Pakistan jail. After five years on a treaty between the two nations when the prisoners were released, he comes back to his village where he finds his wife guilty of infidelity. The film depicts the psychology of a man who has been tortured in the jail for five years and after returning home he finds that things are not the same as he left.

A beautiful projection of the film by the using of stream of consciousness technique especially for the war victims who had trauma. first of all i could not make out what is the period of time in the film, secondly, there are lots of overarching scenes which divert me from the actual motives of the film and the subtle duality is consciously created in the film i.e. love or hatred, personal vs social, and the man's unambiguous nature which we come across in lots of movies. better luck for the future projects....
