@@BIIANCARHoh fun! How long does that take? Because when we are talking about sunscreen one of the (if not THE) important things to consider is whether people will use it correctly. Yes - that’s definitely a method. But it’s important to acknowledge that the vast majority of people will not make the effort to do two or three applications of a product like this. Especially when there are dozens of others that can be applied in one go. So what’s the point, really? If you can’t make this product work the way most people expect it to work (and there are so many that do), why are we trying to justify this? It’s just not necessary. At all. Just buy a sunscreen that blends in. For half the price. 😂

If you bought this on online, especially from Amazon (or anywhere that’s not directly from the company website) it’s likely a fake sunscreen. It’s really common for fake sunscreens to be sold, I’ve watched several videos about this, and this is exactly how those fake ones apply-thick, white, pasty, and don’t blend in.

Shake before use and apply a ¼ teaspoon amount of Physical Sunscreen to the face, adding more for exposed neck and décolletage, avoiding the eye area. Apply the sunscreen at least 20 minutes before sun exposure, and reapply during the day for maximum protection.
Apparently the correct dose for most sunscreen is a 1/4 to 1/3 of a teaspoon. I had no idea and now I'm very tempted to find a quarter teaspoon measurement and see how much that actually is. I don’t think medik8 is Australian?? We do have a lot of zinc based hard to rub in locally made formulas here but I’m fairly sure that’s not one of them. Bondi sands has a zinc face fluid which is ok but I use Korean sunscreens for our faces and Bondi sands fragrance free ‘chemical formula’ on our bodies. It’s waterproof so if we are swimming or sweating a lot my daughters and I can tolerate that on our faces for a day or 2 but it does tend to make our faces a little more sensitive by day 3 so we try to only use it when we need the water resistance.
The rule is 1/2 for face and neck together. However, that’s based on the 95th percentile of men’s faces. Most people don’t actually need quite that much, but better to err on the side of too much.
@@baby.nay. You need 2 mg/cm2, it comes out as approximately 1/4 tsp for the average male face. When I measured the surface of my face and weighed my sunscreen it was even less than that.

This is why it's important to jump on the bandwagon for hyped up products. I usually wait and see what happens to others before buying a product or I stay with what is tried and true.
It’s waterproof so if we are swimming or sweating a lot my daughters and I can tolerate that on our faces for a day or 2 but it does tend to make our faces a little more sensitive by day 3 so we try to only use it when we need the water resistance.
can you please review the pixi clarity line?🙏
Its definitely a no from me. I am so obsessed with sun protection, I use four fingers for my face and neck, instead of two😂
Hey look, my foundation color!
Try Indian suncreens.... The dermaCo spf 50, dr sheths one.....
😂😂😂😂 OMG, I peed my pants watching this. You're such a good sport.
Isnt medik8 made in UK?
To be fair, your 2 fingers look way more than the appropriate 1/4 tsp of sunscreen that is needed.
Cuz 1/4 tsp is like half of what you need
@@baby.nay. nah it's 1/4 teaspoon for the face and neck that you need.
When I measured the surface of my face and weighed my sunscreen it was even less than that.
im allergic to octocrylene so i dont wear spf, do you know of any sunscreens without it?
Any mineral only sunscreen shouldn't have it in it. A good one I can think of off the top of my head is the Good molecules sunscreen, but really if you just want to avoid it without checking the label yourself for it, I'd stick with mineral sunscreen
I believe the beauty of Joseon sunscreen “Relief Sun : Rice + Probiotics (SPF50+ PA++++)” doesn’t have it, but you should check the ingredients
How about applying 1 stripe first then when you rubbed that one in, you apply the 2nd stripe...
Maybe it's because your face was too dry? Use at least a bit of toner first before application, that way your face is moist.
This is why I don't get along with most sunscreens. Because when you actually use the recommended amount it looks horrible and it doesn't work with makeup. This includes the Beauty of Joseon sunscreen that is everyone's favorite but for me it doesn't work with makeup.
Canmake mermaid skin clear sunscreen is great! I use the two finger method and it didn't leave a cast on me. I will warn that it's dewy but not oily mess for me.
How is Medik8 Australian?
That's way too much. Of course you're gonna get white cast. Apply it in layers. Try an actual Australian brand Alpha H protection plus. We have way harsh summers and this does not burn you.
Sorry sweets, never heard of it here and I know our sunscreens, my pale Scottishness blisters and crisps up in the Aussie sun like a piece of prosciutto. Also (yikes 😂) I think maybe you were a touch enthusiastic with the amount there… it’s just sunscreen, you’re not lubing up for some sort of weird niche porno.
If you're ever hoping to apply a mineral SPF 50 and not get a (awful) white cast, you can't just apply the whole amount at once. Apply half, rub it in, maybe make yourself a cup of coffee, then apply the rest
The reason people love it is because they don’t put the right amount of product on… Therefore, it isn’t chalky and hard to rub in 🤷🏼♀️
I've learnt with minimal sunscreen you really just need a little bit abd it goes a long way
If you use a little bit, you're not getting the full SPF value started on the container.
Two fingers isn't universal because the diameters of container openings isn't universal. This tube has a very wide opening, so she used too much.
I am so tired of trying australian sunscreen. All have white cast and I don't like how greasy chemical sunscreen are and sting my eyes. I heard korean sunscreen do not have enough protection from Australia sun. :(
Try the Dr Ceuracle spf ❤
i apply little by little. thin layers
Why skip the eye lids?
Review for Aesop?😍
Try apivita's sunscreen please!!!
It's a British brand!
Hmmm not Australian. Try instead for e.g., Alpha-H, Ultraceuticals, Skinstitut
have u tried biore watery rich essence?
