This game has such a strange and kinda disappointing endings. Some big level design issues too. The traversal is a lot of fun though, which makes the uneven level design even more disappointing cause the environnement you have to traverse aren't all that engaging. Doesn't help that I quasi softlocked myself at some point and had to pull some speedrun skip level of gameplay to get out it was so painful lol. But yeah I don't get why ending the game on a fight like that when the combat system was pretty basic to begin with really not playing to it's strengths. Pretty charming game overall but some odd choices and lack of polish really showing (but it's also really cheap so not a big risk to try it out)
I do agree with you on some of these points but I myself enjoyed the game and it was somethin I was able to finish with indie games like this where I take forever to finish it due to being busy. I get a lot of the stuff is hard to do but it felt so good beating stuff like the extra challenges to get new outfits which was good the throne room being the biggest pain in the ass.
@@ZengoOshiba I don't mind things being hard. When I say I was softlocked it's because I went somewheree before having the right ability for it (basically I pulled off some tricky jumps which allowed me to get somewhere that normally needed the wall run) and that got me almost completely stuck because I wasn't supposed to be there. That's definitely not a "skill issue" problem. Also yeah I like short and condensed games too, and I think the game has some neat ideas it just really lacks polish in somee areas and again the level design is just... I don't know it's hard to explain why I think it's bad. I think it's overall confusing and doesn't provide a good playground to make use of your movement abilities. Some sections are better than others but a lot of them feel like first drafts. And yeah the ending in particular feels like it was just thrown in cause thee game needed a final boss and an ending. I'll still take a short and messy game like that any day over a soulless drawn out product.
I can understand your take on it. I personally saw it and though it was hard it's difficulty reminded me of Half Life 2 where you have to use the environment and objects within your surroundings just to progress. I was able to get thought certain areas without certain abilities and "for lack of better words" just said "fuck it" and made it through an area and yes the wall run made everything easier after getting it but overall the game lacked a lot of stuff but the levels were questionable in design but once I figured things out I had fun. The levels made some sense to me once I did the time challenges I still have to complete the underbelly and first area challenges.
