Maybe that's another reason he isn't fond of people.

My theory: it was another Godzilla, there have to be another Godzilla somewhere, maybe hidden somewhere in Southeast Asia like Papua New Guinea or Riau Archipelago, the movie only show Godzilla in his territory ranging from Bikini atoll to Japan after all
What if it was 98 Godzilla since togo bought him and renamed him Zilla. They would compete for the same food source and both live in the pacific and has the claws and digging ability that could leave the scratches on him.
Don’t know how Yamazaki feels towards zilla but it would be a way to drawn in American audiences and almost be Godzilla vs Godzilla plus it's also a beliveable kaiju to already exist naturally as a lesser version before being iradiated.
Well, let's combine 'mating' with the Godzilla-minus-one-mate theory: the wounds come from a thrashing mate's death throes after being gutted by human military action.
My pick is King Caesar, another Godzilla, or a giant crustacean. I can see why Toho might not create a new monster especially for the fact that they haven’t created a Godzilla or Kaiju Game. Does obscurity matter especially when you can change the design and add new potential powers to the characters. Also, didn’t they create a rule where the Gojiras can’t be species (or is it where the species can’t be labeled as Gojiras). Btw love the vids man
I'm pretty sure it is going to be a more obscure monster that we haven't seen for quit sometime' which I still have Varan as one of my top picks' he can fight in water, he can glide and come on land. I did notice that the claw marks are pretty far apart from each other' which does make me think that it could have been Rodan with his three clawed wings that did it, my understanding the director wants to go with somewhat more of an obscure monster for the sequel because I know its not Mothra, King Ghidorah or Mechagodzilla. Those three are over used' but there was no real mention of Rodan one way or the other' he is one of the big five after all, but maybe it is Rodan since it seems like he hasn't been treated properly since his last appearance. I guess they want to have him be equal to Godzilla and not as Ghidorah's bitch like in KOTM' I can see why but I had no problem the way he was handle, I think this is why many people believe he may have a chance in the next minus one sequel? I still have Anguirus up there too! But he has now fallen down from my number 2 pick to my 3rd pick that scratched Godzilla' While Biollante and Hedorah have nothing to do with scratching up Godzilla we still can't leave them out since its possible that one of them could show up in the sequel? So these are now my top 5 monsters where anyone of them could show up in the sequel in this order until I hear something different: 1.Hedorah 2.Varan 3.Rodan 4.Biollante 5.Anguirus 3rd pick over all if were only counting just the monsters that might have scratched Godzilla? Like another poster who had ground zero as his title I kind of like it but I think it should be used more as a subtitle' my full title of the next minus one sequel would be called Godzilla vs Hedorah: Ground Zero. You can also just as easy replace Hedorah with any of the other monsters in the same title as well too' but all in all I think it works, but we will know in time what the title of the sequel will be called soon enough.
Could be. But Godzilla is aware of humanity's actions toward him and would most likely hold that against them. Godzilla is aware humans are the ones who nuked him and that's why he starts hunting Americans at sea. It's strange for Godzilla to let Shikishima live if he was hurt by human vehicles before
The thing is is i think they could get away with a "lesser known kaiju" mainly because minus one was a huge success qnd people are going to go because its a minus one sequel
I don't really think obscurity would be that bad in fact there's a chance he might intentionally do that so that he can have a little more creative freedom while still keeping true to whatever monster he chooses (plus it could help with the longevity of the story by having Godzilla start off by finding more obscure monsters and very slowly work his way towards the Big 5 towards the end of the series if he wants to do a whole series) partially since Godzilla on his own is popular enough to make a movie a lot of money especially since this next one might likely be tied into the first so it's possible that Godzilla would be able to carry the film in terms of bringing back an audience Basically if we're going to have more than two movies now is the best time if ever to use some more obscure monsters
I was actually thinking of an organic avian dinosaur Gigan with Super long single digit claws. That could explain the biggest neck cut on Godzilla at least but it is a pretty big stretch
Hey Dman! Do you think the next movie will be about Godzilla finding a female Godzilla and gets into a conflict with a rival male Godzilla that wants to mate her?
At this point. You could say that almost evry kaiju that TOHO own are too obscure to be the main villain/antagonist in a movie, except for TOHO's Big 5: - Godzilla - Rodan - Mothra - King Ghidorah - Mechagodzilla
Unfortunately, I think that's fairly true from a financial perspective. Until they get some momentum, I can't picture them throwing in some of the little guys
@@DMan1954 Personally I think that the success of Minus One and GxK (along with Shin Godzilla) pretty much back to back would hopefully let them feel comfortable enough to take a risk We’ve seen them experiment with Shin Godzilla, which in some ways is a departure from what has come before. Then we have the Godzilla anime trilogy that’s super experimental in its setting and genuinely ambitious story, which leads us nicely to Godzilla Singular Point That anime is probably the most experimental that (at least from Toho) the franchise has gotten, in terms of anime and movies, so just looking at that. It could mean they’re ready to suprise us with something brand new on the big screen
Idk about the Giant Squid. if Godzilla was attacked by a Giant Squid, we would seen sucker marks all over Godzilla's body and judging by that scars on godzilla's body that isn't a squid or a large shark who made that.
@@DMan1954 yes that is true however, we would see more scars on Godzilla and scars would have multiple thin long lines in same area due to Squid's tentacles would tried to wrapped around Godzilla and tried to bite him. Yea I can see Giant Squid be culprit, Their sizes are nearly identical. Godzillasarus is around 15M and Giant Squid (Depending on gender) they can be range to 10-14M. I really must think of this.
Godzilla's scars r like claws thing look at kong's chest it has like wolf like scars my thoughts are ebirah, baragon's horn, megaguirs OR my main guess destroyah aggregate form (1st form) it has claws which slice like this / \ | also its spider tentacles things .........Maybe Edit: i just remembered it could be advanced monkey that used its axe
@@DMan1954 when the earth was created the grem are first organisms to ever exist. In 1945 when the United States of America detonated two atomic bombs over Japan's 2 Cities- Hiroshima and Nagasaki. They were the little boy and fat man. This incident took the lives of hundreds of thousands of people, and the intensity was so high that the radiation still affected the people who live there and the germ could mutated into destroyah and it began continue to mutate and left scars on godzilla It's just a theory a film theory
It's either gona just be a normal gaiant/colosdal squid (The real animal, Not a Kaiju), they leave scars like that when defending from sperm-whales, Or he got them from a ship's turbines
We're certainly overdue for an Original Toho monster so i'd be very welcome to that! Of the returning monsters Rodan seems like the most fun idea to me what with how much more attention pterosaurs have been given as of late and how scary they are, I think it could lead to a sort of battle unseen before in the genre with the use of Cgi. Anguirus is just as deserving and plausible I think though. I will say they went out of there way to Show Godzilla isn't quite buddy buddy to the idea of being around his own kind, given how he threw that ship across town when they used his roars to bait him.
I completely agree. I would love to see Toho create a new monster for us to enjoy. But I would also LOVE to see Rodan get some proper attention and time to fight Godzilla. They actually have a lot of little things like that in the first movie that hit to a second Godzilla
I think a whole new kaiju would work well, let Toho/Takashi cook. I'm EXTREMELY curious about Noriko and the thing that was on her neck. I immediately think she would turn into a kaiju. I think she could be an all new kaiju or a second Godzilla since I'm guessing it has his DNA *OR* maybe a human Godzilla hybrid like the ones Shin was growing before he froze! Obviously you can take different routes for all three but here's some ideas: 1a. Noriko's Godzilla² (Noriko turning into a second Godzilla) should keep her humanity or consciousness and that gives her some form of higher ground with Godzilla. 1b. Noriko's Godzilla² somehow convinces Godzilla to become friends with humanity since she has kept her humanity/consciousness... you could potentially also play into what ever caused Godzillasaurus' wounds has become a threat. She could become a Mothra type character to motivate him to turn to the humans side. 2a. Zillahuman (Godzilla human hybrid) is the only creature to defeat Godzilla. 2b. Zillahuman is a global level threat and Godzilla has to kill Zillhuman and then becomes the defender of earth.
I think the most likely evolution for her would be something like Biollante who was already a mix between Godzilla and a human, just with some plant life thrown in. Given Godzilla's aggression toward the speaker playing back his roar in Minus One, I don't see him becoming friendly with another member of his kind any time soon
Showa Ebirah was NOT natural, he was created & controlled by terrorists. Clearly, you guys haven't seen Toho's list of rules for Godzilla. Said rules being that Godzilla: Must be one of a kind Can't permanently die (hence Minus One's ending) Must be referred to as an 'it' instead of he or she Can't be seen eating humans or other living things. I didn't come up with these and I wish Toho never made them.
I don't like the idea of another Godzilla at all, that would be boring and unimaginative. idk how they would even work with GM1 Godzilla. If they both have the same regeneration and powes, it would just be a never-ending back and forth. I'm putting my money on a new kaiju and hoping it's not just another copy and past Godzilla.
1. I like the deep sea animal theory. Right before you said that I was thinking " maybe great white shark " 2. I think that the lady ( sorry, her name escapes me ATM ) will have a psychic link so she can act like an early warning system , like that one girl in the 90's ( sorry again , I'm old . Lol. ) 2. While I had heard of them tossing a few ideas around, I didn't realize they were taking the idea of GvG so seriously, and they basically have the opportunity to do that here , so I'm really hoping that comes through. 🙂
Yeah, the deep sea animal theory makes the most logical sense to me. Toho has tried many times over the years to make a Godzilla VS Godzilla film and always backed down. Maybe it's finally time!
tbh i want it to be either Varan or Gorosaurus (both MIA since 1968) Gorosaurus would just be a monster he fought in the past but not a big bad villain as for Varan, I say he is more likely to be a big bad villain if they want a returning kaiju but a new opponent for Godzilla since -1 is in a more grounded universe I would believe Varan would be possible and could be good for visuals as he can fight on all 3 areas of Earth, air, land, and underwater, also he hasn't been used as a concept besides the original screenplay for GMK with Anguirus and Baragon as his allies, I would say Varan is the most likely for this new timeline but if they want to pay homage to the original series then the 2 rivals to Godzilla turned allies were Anguirus and Rodan so those are probably the two most likely
I would guess it must have been another Dinosaurian Kaiju.
Very well could be
It could be like goro or even bagan or kameobas tbh
I agree
My guess is that it must be D man1954 who left those scars on Godzilla notice how he's shifting the blame on to the other kaijus.

Btw love the vids man
I feel confident about either Anguirus or Varan?
Both good picks!
Don’t count out the monsters who are too obscure because if they do put one of them in, it will make them not obscure anymore.
Are we forgetting about manda
That wasn't a popular theory on the last video, so I didn't think to mention it
I'm pretty sure it is going to be a more obscure monster that we haven't seen for quit sometime' which I still have Varan as one of my top picks' he can fight in water, he can glide and come on land.
So these are now my top 5 monsters where anyone of them could show up in the sequel in this order until I hear something different:
1.Hedorah
2.Varan
3.Rodan
4.Biollante
5.Anguirus 3rd pick over all if were only counting just the monsters that might have scratched Godzilla?
Like another poster who had ground zero as his title I kind of like it but I think it should be used more as a subtitle' my full title of the next minus one sequel would be called Godzilla vs Hedorah: Ground Zero.
You can also just as easy replace Hedorah with any of the other monsters in the same title as well too' but all in all I think it works, but we will know in time what the title of the sequel will be called soon enough.
King Ceasar would work.
Hmm. He'd have to be changed from his original lore to fit the Minus universe.
If it was a monster and only scratched him leaving him alive, it's not even a threat now unless it has mutated since the fight like Zilla did.
True
What if it's damage from the propeller of a ship that hit Godzilla? Happens to whales all the time.
Could be. But Godzilla is aware of humanity's actions toward him and would most likely hold that against them. Godzilla is aware humans are the ones who nuked him and that's why he starts hunting Americans at sea. It's strange for Godzilla to let Shikishima live if he was hurt by human vehicles before
That was my second theory after the watchtower damage got thrown out the picture.
Nah man, clearly he fought Minya and lost. Thus escaping to Odo island
I know I know it’s somthing
Same here
3:33 Nah not my goat Gorosaurus🗿🦖
We stan
the 0nly one that can put Scars on Godzilla is a bigger Godzilla
Not exactly
The thing is is i think they could get away with a "lesser known kaiju" mainly because minus one was a huge success qnd people are going to go because its a minus one sequel
I guess it could be goro or bagan or even kameobas cuz those are like the closest to dinosaur apart from angi
I don't really think obscurity would be that bad in fact there's a chance he might intentionally do that so that he can have a little more creative freedom while still keeping true to whatever monster he chooses (plus it could help with the longevity of the story by having Godzilla start off by finding more obscure monsters and very slowly work his way towards the Big 5 towards the end of the series if he wants to do a whole series) partially since Godzilla on his own is popular enough to make a movie a lot of money especially since this next one might likely be tied into the first so it's possible that Godzilla would be able to carry the film in terms of bringing back an audience
Basically if we're going to have more than two movies now is the best time if ever to use some more obscure monsters
I wished this would happen but toho and kadokawa team up and make a Godzilla vs gamera.
Someday!!! I wish so badly!
I just think those scars were cause by humans, probably with spares sense this is probably a small island of sorts?
I swear to God if it's ghodorah or mothra again ima be pissed please bring back obscure monsters
Same here!
id vote for rodan or anguirus makes sense even mothra probably would be cool
Same here
I stand by my original theory, ya know ya know😎😏
Same here
maybe it could be manda, King Caesar or maybe realistic version of gigan but gigan is not a alien or a cyborg he's just a natural accruing creature
I was actually thinking of an organic avian dinosaur Gigan with Super long single digit claws. That could explain the biggest neck cut on Godzilla at least but it is a pretty big stretch
That could be cool, but the standard Gigan doesn't fit the Minus One universe yet
May be it's gamera what do you think ?
Hey Dman! Do you think the next movie will be about Godzilla finding a female Godzilla and gets into a conflict with a rival male Godzilla that wants to mate her?
WAIT! could Ebirah work?
What if it was 2 smaller godzillas wearing a trenchcoat?
It's another Kaiju it was probably anguirus
I hope so
The sequel is called Godzilla -1.2 and the third is called Godzilla -1.3. That is all for now. lol
At this point. You could say that almost evry kaiju that TOHO own are too obscure to be the main villain/antagonist in a movie, except for TOHO's Big 5:
- Godzilla
- Rodan
- Mothra
- King Ghidorah
- Mechagodzilla
Unfortunately, I think that's fairly true from a financial perspective. Until they get some momentum, I can't picture them throwing in some of the little guys
Destroyah, SpaceGodzilla, Angurius, Biollante and Zilla:
@@DMan1954 Personally I think that the success of Minus One and GxK (along with Shin Godzilla) pretty much back to back would hopefully let them feel comfortable enough to take a risk
We’ve seen them experiment with Shin Godzilla, which in some ways is a departure from what has come before. Then we have the Godzilla anime trilogy that’s super experimental in its setting and genuinely ambitious story, which leads us nicely to Godzilla Singular Point
That anime is probably the most experimental that (at least from Toho) the franchise has gotten, in terms of anime and movies, so just looking at that. It could mean they’re ready to suprise us with something brand new on the big screen
maybe they could use the Griffin
That would be cool
Idk about the Giant Squid. if Godzilla was attacked by a Giant Squid, we would seen sucker marks all over Godzilla's body and judging by that scars on godzilla's body that isn't a squid or a large shark who made that.
Could be, but I've seen photos where a squid attack on a whale looks like cuts. So idk if that's what they were going off of
@@DMan1954 yes that is true however, we would see more scars on Godzilla and scars would have multiple thin long lines in same area due to Squid's tentacles would tried to wrapped around Godzilla and tried to bite him.
Yea I can see Giant Squid be culprit, Their sizes are nearly identical. Godzillasarus is around 15M and Giant Squid (Depending on gender) they can be range to 10-14M. I really must think of this.
What if ? It was manda 🐉 water fight. Like tiamat in mv godzilla
Toho give me Mothra solo movie
YES!
Godzilla's scars r like claws thing look at kong's chest it has like wolf like scars my thoughts are ebirah, baragon's horn, megaguirs
OR my main guess destroyah aggregate form (1st form) it has claws which slice like this / \ | also its spider tentacles things .........Maybe
Edit: i just remembered it could be advanced monkey that used its axe
But how could it be Destoroyah if it existed before Godzilla?
@@DMan1954 when the earth was created the grem are first organisms to ever exist. In 1945 when the United States of America detonated two atomic bombs over Japan's 2 Cities- Hiroshima and Nagasaki. They were the little boy and fat man. This incident took the lives of hundreds of thousands of people, and the intensity was so high that the radiation still affected the people who live there and the germ could mutated into destroyah and it began continue to mutate and left scars on godzilla
It's just a theory a film theory
It's either gona just be a normal gaiant/colosdal squid (The real animal, Not a Kaiju), they leave scars like that when defending from sperm-whales, Or he got them from a ship's turbines
Godzilla was self harming due to emo music he listened to
How about Gamera
awesome, and by the way Godzilla is coming to Fortnite, just let you know and what are thoughts on that😂
maybe battra
Underrated, but I feel like they would use Mothra over Battra
bring back zilla. along with angeris.
I'm liking the love I've been seeing for Zilla lately
Do you even know the history of titanosaurus i think it might be Godzilla rival enemy in the sequel
I sure do and I sure don't
All I'm saying is that manda can swim and walk on land...cause didn't godzilla come out the water before he started walking on land?
You never know. Always could be, I suppose
What about manda
As much as I love that dude, I don't think he'll return. Not popular enough
I wonder why TH-cam is deleting my comments
I think a whole new kaiju would work well, let Toho/Takashi cook. I'm EXTREMELY curious about Noriko and the thing that was on her neck. I immediately think she would turn into a kaiju. I think she could be an all new kaiju or a second Godzilla since I'm guessing it has his DNA *OR* maybe a human Godzilla hybrid like the ones Shin was growing before he froze! Obviously you can take different routes for all three but here's some ideas:
Said rules being that Godzilla:
Must be one of a kind
Can't permanently die (hence Minus One's ending)
Must be referred to as an 'it' instead of he or she
Can't be seen eating humans or other living things.
Gamara
I wish!
The Japanese version of varan is better than the American one but its still boring to sit through
1. I like the deep sea animal theory. Right before you said that I was thinking " maybe great white shark "
2. I think that the lady ( sorry, her name escapes me ATM ) will have a psychic link so she can act like an early warning system , like that one girl in the 90's ( sorry again , I'm old . Lol. )
First
true that
tbh i want it to be either Varan or Gorosaurus (both MIA since 1968) Gorosaurus would just be a monster he fought in the past but not a big bad villain as for Varan, I say he is more likely to be a big bad villain if they want a returning kaiju but a new opponent for Godzilla since -1 is in a more grounded universe I would believe Varan would be possible and could be good for visuals as he can fight on all 3 areas of Earth, air, land, and underwater, also he hasn't been used as a concept besides the original screenplay for GMK with Anguirus and Baragon as his allies, I would say Varan is the most likely for this new timeline but if they want to pay homage to the original series then the 2 rivals to Godzilla turned allies were Anguirus and Rodan so those are probably the two most likely
