I don't feel so bad about the way I do the thread change! 🙂 I'm also glad that your robotics talk as you quilt, too. Thank you for this wonderful video! Yes I would like information on the pattern that you are using on this quilt. I upgraded this last year from QCT5 Beginnings to 6 Pro Plus and I'm still learning! Again Thank You!
Hi Catherine, We did find the design and posted it in the description. Here is the link: * www.onesongneedlearts.com/barbras-feathers-2-block-3-7630/ - Design used in the video and where to find it! - Thanks Lynn
Years ago, I learned a handy trick: grab a scrap of batting and either stitch it to your apron or pin it on with a safety pin. It’s second nature for me now-I just slap the thread onto that batting patch unless I’m right by a wastebasket. I’ve got wastebaskets on both ends of my frame, but that thread patch still keeps me from having threads scattered all over the floor.
I really loved your video! Its hands on and done how we quilters see the best way to get the results we want. I liked the way you touched on placing and marking the chunked border. I would really like to see how you calculate and mark where to place the designs to appear they were done as a panto. I've had so much trouble getting the designs to stitch in the right place to get the panto look all the way down without having to resize or adjust the last few designs. Do you have a video of what your process is?
Hi Shelia, This is Lynn, Kathy's husband. I will show her this and we will figure out the best way to explain what you are looking for. Thanks for the great comment. - Lynn
Hi Shelia, Kathy is wondering if you can explain a little more of what it is you are trying to figure out so we can answer you better. Email me at lynn@kathyquilts.com and I will show it to kathy and we will get this figured out for you.
I’m so happy to see the two of you! I bought a Block Rockit from you in 2014 and have loved it! After 10 years my best friend now has the Block Rockit and the machine is still going strong. I’m currently an affiliate for Grace and just purchased the 21x Elite. Trying to learn QCT! Thank you for all of your knowledge! Kaye from Georgia. ❤
Hi Kaye, Thanks for being a great customer and friend for all of these years. We are working on several things to help you with QCT6. Which version do you have?
@ I have had the gold card for several years and have never dared to try borders and corners. I am so afraid I wouldn’t be able to line up the pattern on the sides. I know a lot of people turn their quilts but that is a lot of extra work. Any video that you could do to show that process would really be appreciated. Also sashings , especially if they are diagonal. Thanks so much and Happy Thanksgiving!
@lucygreenwald956 Hi Lucy, Great comment! Thanks for asking these great questions . When Kathy does sashings, she free-motions quilts them most of the time to add her special touch to the quilt. She has used the Gold Card Border and Corner feature, but sometimes she just forgets it is there. When quilting a sashing, she says it is just like placing a block. If you use 4 points to place it, you can do it regardless of the orientation. Use the border and corner Gold Card feature to do the sashings as well. Kathy will never turn her quilt. The only time it gets unpinned is when it is done. To her, that would be a waste of time. She always does the borders and the main part of the quilt every time she rolls the quilt. Next time Kathy has a quilt that needs a border quilted we will film it and share. - Lynn
you asked or talked about jump stitches, after you place your pattern and tell the program to quilt, before you Pull Bobbin, tap the Optimize button on the top and see about the 'Remove All' button if it will remove that one stitch line. Enjoy the day!
Hi Jeanette, We have a way you can order your 19X Elite and QCT 6 Pro and then pay for it after your house closes. The issue is that the sale on the 19X Elite was last month's special so there is a time element there. If you are interested you just use "Committed Order" payment method and you don't have to pay until you can and still get locked in at that price. - Lynn
@@jetloudesigns No worries. We have added onto our house 3 times and it can be a mess during the process but it is well worth in after you are done! Let us know when you are ready.😀
@@jetloudesigns There was a sale on the 19X Elite that ended on the 31st, but I think I can still honor that price along with QCT Pro being $4,899 instead of $7,499. Your total would be $11,898 With QCT 6 Pro, $10,498 with QCT 6 Plus, or $9098 with QCT 6 E2E. We recommend QCT 6 Pro, but 6 Plus is also a good place to start.

Great video! I noticed your vest has a "thread holder", is that a piece of felt or batting? Great idea! I need to make one for myself!

@ I don’t have a place to put it till we remodel the house so I will have to wait till during a sale after that happens. Thanks for your offer.

I would love to be able to get a Qnique 19xElite with QCT
We can help you with that. Do you already have a machine quilting frame?
I have a cutie frame
@@jetloudesigns The 19X Elite and QCT 6 Pro would totally rock that hoop frame
