Monk is gonna be SO busted. Even without deflecting stuff, it’s still a 4 second shield that reduces 80% of damage, and the fact that he can protect units around him when the opponent plays a spell? The goblin barrel + Monk combination was a nice example And the knock back attacks can probably counter things like hog/ram rider and battle ram really well Excited to play with this card!
For the arrows interaction I feel like since the arrows are spread out, he only deflects the arrows that are directly on the Monk and not the others that are out of range on the monk.

It’s funny to think that one card out of now about 110 is going to change the whole meta and make the game unplayable and force us to use melee units that can’t ever make it to tower. Maybe combo decks will make a comeback because they will definitely be needed to counter push from this guy.
They probably intended Monk to be overpowered so people will spend more money for that card, and later on they will nerf it. Same thing last time when the first champions were released, Archer Queen was so OP.
since sometimes very little damage is very important in ladder, he can do chip damage against the tower after using it for defending so monk is gonna be pretty good

Man, the thing is not only that it has good damage and can counter any projectiles. This card is pretty much guaranteed damages if placed at the bridge since it deflects arrows from towers. The only counter to that is placing a troop before he passes the bridge.

I can see the uptime nerfed or activation delay already. Damage is good as most single targets but I can definitely see the damage reduction going down. Or atleast only to crown towers but know our luck, also to troops as well

I just realized the reason he doesn't fully reflect arrows is because he only reflects projectiles in that small circle that shows when he activates the ability, so only arrows in that radius get reflected, that's why the other goblins died and the one close to the monk survived.
This card is going to be so dangerous in triple elixir. Imagine having little health on your princess tower and it crosses the bridge. It's pretty much guaranteed to get damage. Overall this card is gonna get a lot of changes soon, still, can't wait to use it!
After Duelling players using Monk on their Decks....well his too Broken, my man Monk is a one man Army at the Moment 💀... the Fact that he's: - ability costs Low Elixer - plus 100% dmg after Activation & - practically invulnerable against melee cards when activated - also pushback grounded Cards is Obnoxious (love this btw😁) + so a Quick Fix - - ability activation should cost 2 or 3 Elixer - remove his Invulnerability against melee cards when ability is active that way he's easy pickings when mediating (Deflecting ) - this way placement and protecting him takes priority & using ability wisely is key since Reckless Plays result in Punishes costing elixer (hence he becomes balanced without breaking him😙) - thus giving u a sense of satisfaction when u pull a clutch moment activating the Ability Love the Deflection Mechanic Very Useful 😁
I think it needs a bit of a nerf, like, reduce the third attack damage to 320, not much but already helps, the utility is also kinda... Good? But very situational
This would be so broken with balloon, since only projectiles can hit air units, not all decks run inferno or tesla, and the only unreflectable air units are zappable (inferno drag and bats). You could run oppressive counters on a balloon deck like earthquake to delete air targetting towers, drop a monk at the back and balloon the bridge, then zap or arrow any bats or minions while relying on monk to reflect ranged units.

Reduce his melee dmg by a lot, don't make his ability reflect damage onto turret, keep the knock back. Monk should be a defensive tank that can screw over ranged troops, not an unkillable demigod.
This is far from balanced. The amount of cards it can counter are endless. It’ll most likely make some decks useless. And if that isn’t the case then it’ll replace some cards in many meta decks

Guys out here really making decks with elixir collector, monk, phoenix and mirror, and just cycling through them endlessly til they catch you out and pump 6 phoenixes while using the monk to tank for the cycle. It's so ridiculous lol

The reason why the monk doesn't reflect all the arrows is because he only reflects the projectiles that hit him which means some arrows won't be reflected because of it's wide area
2 Monks reflecting can intercept some attacks. For example, place a monk in front of a sparky. If they counter with a monk and you both use reflect the sparky blast will bounce between them and disappear.
I believe that deflected goblin barrels, barb barrels etc should still belong to red team and spawn enemy troops. I also believe deflected spells should deal reduced damage.
