    I just found your videos, I'm already sharing you with my friends! I rarely find craft youtubers I actually enjoy listening to, but you are really fun and informative!

    I'm a rather private person. Not prone to sharing things about me. I've only recently found you. You have the most infectious laugh. I found myself laughing out loud with you. It's been a long time since I laughed. I used to love to laugh. My Dad died in 2016. He was one of my dearest friends. One year later my sister and best friend died. Two months later my husband had a massive stroke and died. We were so looking forward to retiring and spoiling grandkids. Anyway, since I found you, I've drug out the Christmas tree and cookie cutters and sewing machine. These are the things I used to love to do. You are an amazing inspiration to me. God bless you and I hope you have the most fulfilling holidays.

    Years ago I made a big quilt in grandmothers flower garden pattern. The hexies were one inch. Back then I made all the templates with cardboard cut out with scissors, and all the papers with plain paper cut out with scissors. Them millions and Millions of tiny hand stitches. It turned out so beautiful, but never again. You’ve nearly talked me into having another go 💙

    I know it's often a choice to be happy. Whenever I feel I'm being 'drawn to the dark side', I do a Mr Domestic marathon and I'm back to smiling!!

    Mx Domestic has a laugh which sounds like George Santos. You could say George Santos is a world famous quilter. People stop him in the streets for autographs. 😆

    If you have different color clamshells on the same project, would you recommend matching the thread to the clamshell on top or the clamshells below?

    great tehnique that clearly shows the stitching. have you ever tried using a metal pointed tool to push your fabric over and keep glue off fingers? Really enjoy your videos.

    I truly enjoy your videos and your laughs are great. The ottoman is stunning and makes me want to make it. I showed two of my gay guy friends (husbands) who sew and bead and they enjoyed you and think you are really cute. I've been sewing for 60 years and always keep my eyes open because I'm never too old to learn more. Good job and keep up the videos

    where can i purchase the "sticky paper" you used in a video for English Paper Piecing?

  • @patchingmagic
    @patchingmagic 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    You just use a gather stitch for outer curves, makes a perfect fit.

    Question: I can't find anywhere how you applique this to a background and remove the papers on the outer edge. I am making a piece that has appliqued small clusters of hexagons on a solid background. 🤔

    • @MorMorKat
      @MorMorKat 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am glue-basting the hexagons

    What do you use this for? With the paper sewn into it, it seems not to be a washable item....

    • @dzymslizzy3641
      @dzymslizzy3641 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MxDomestic ???? But, your demo showed folding around the paper, putting bits of glue, then sewing it all shut; I don't see where or how the paper is/was removed... ;)

    • @maryschutte8368
      @maryschutte8368 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The glue is temporary. You don't sew through the paper. @@dzymslizzy3641

    • @platystrophia
      @platystrophia 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      DzyMsLizzy sometimes you have to fold the papers to wiggle them out of the seams...
