I've been vegan for five years (vegetarian 26 years beforehand). This is a wonderfully positive video showing just how easy it is to be vegan now. I watch a lot of your videos but I think this is the first time I've felt compelled to write a comment. Glad your family liked the meals too. You did a fantastic job 👏👏👏
Falafels need oven baking not microwaving - they taste so good crispy, the microwave will make them soggy, no wonder you didn't like them! M&S and Waitrose do the best falafel if you ever try them again!
Sooooooo refreshing to see someone actually take it seriously and be so honest with what you thought. I agree with falafels though - they can be proper hit or miss based on where you get them! The brand Cauldren do these 'Middle Eastern Style' falafel and they are incredible with hummus and you should definitely try chocolate by the brand NoMo - its like the closest thing you'll get to dairy milk but so chocolatey and melty. Thank you Molly, big love xxx
Another video I'd love you to try is cutting down on single use plastic for a week - the environmental impacts of plastic are just as awful as the meat industry, and I noticed when you were picking veg that a lot of it (the melon half, bagged peppers etc) you could've bought without plastic by bringing bags or just putting the fruit/veg in your trolley. It'd be really eye opening!
I hated vegan cheese too until I tried some of the newer ones! They’re getting better!! Try the ham and cheeze toastie from costa it is DELICIOUS literally the same as a normal one 🥺
love how positive and open minded you were!! And you really put in effort to find good food you'd enjoy which a lot of you tubers don't!! well doneeee !!!!
What an amazing Video!!! I'm from germany and At the Moment i'm veganizing My whole family 😅😂 it is so amazing to See that your so open for all the vegan stuff !!!! YOU ARE AMAZING AND I ABSOLUTLY LOVE YOU AND YOUR VIDEOS !!!!😍❤
I loved this, me and my family have eaten meat for so long but recently we have been cutting down to around 2 meat meals a week and around 5 vegetarian or vegan meals a week . I loved this video so much because it has shown me so many foods that I can eat. I find vegetable lasagne is a great meal for vegan/vegetarians! Very filling as well !
I've been hoping you'd do this! Most youtubers do a 24h challenge but just get the basic substitutes, so it'll be really interesting to see a meat eater person try and integrate vegan options into their life :)
The butter you would of wanted to get is sunflower butter , I work at a hospital and we always have a problem when it comes to vegan foods as they done have lots of different varieties were people that eat meat have all different varieties
Most Indian food is vegan, if you ask them to hold the ghee, butter, cottage cheese, and in some cases, even cream. Lebanese food like falafel, hummus and lots of salads are also vegan (but you’ve obviously already discovered that:)) Choosing the right vegan cheese is also very crucial: I absolutely love Violife vegan cheese, maybe you might like it too:) Soy milk is a great, direct milk substitute in terms of color, consistency and even taste. Costa also does a vegan marble cookie if you want to try that, its pretty good ngl! And lastly, do try Ben and jerrys dairy free ice cream (my personal favourite is the half baked peanut butter cookie dough!) I hope that helped:)💚
I just celebrated my 1 year veganversiry and this is my favourite trying vegan video, you did so well!!! Definitely encourage you to keep going/try more vegan recipes, I used to be the fussiest eater but veganism pushed me to try new things!! xx 🌱🌱🌱
Just so you know all of Cooplands' bread is vegan! (Plus they do a vegan sausage roll and a vegan steak bake. I think their iced fingers are accidentally vegan too, but I'm not 100% sure on that.) Also, I really like using the Alpro chocolate milk to make porridge.
The alpro soya milks you got are long life, they’re a lot nicer from the fridge section! I personally drink alpro soya light which I would definitely recommend
Oat milk is my favourite cows milk alternative the only one I have with tea! I will have soy milk in tea if oat milk isn’t available but oat is definitely the best option to have in tea
Enjoyed watching it and that you did a really good job with the challenge being vegan for a week. And some days I cut down on meat meals and have vegan food and it makes me feel a lot better
i’m vegan and i really enjoyed this, you did a good job :) you should try the m&s kiev’s they’re really good and i’d say pretty realistic too! the whole range is really good
Cashew milk is my favourite vegan alternative- it is so creamy and has a very subtle taste unlike other nut milks which are very overpowering for me. It goes well with cereal, porridge, tea, coffee etc!
Little tip, if vegetable or potatoe products don't state vegan, check the ingredients for things like 'honey', especially ones ready prepared for roasting or baking, honey is not vegan friendly... well done for doing this, really good effort. I fully recommend you try it longer and try tescos wicked kitchen and plant chef range 💜
I have lived in London for a whole 19 YEARS and you’re always here yet I never see you. How rude is the universe 🙄 Great video btw... and you did really well omg. I would have cracked if I tried to do this. I love me some chicken goujons from time to time 🥺😍
when I went vegan I got very bloated for the first couple of weeks because I was eating way more fibre than I had been before but then after a few weeks I started to feel a lot better with my health so don't worry about bloating!
Beauty Spectrum however I’ve also started using these pg tips dairy free ones that are available in Poundstretcher but soya milk for me works in normal tea bags aswell
There should have only been 3? In a video almost half an hour long I don’t think thats ridiculous- if you’re getting double ads back to back idk why TH-cam do that and that’s not me choosing to place double - sorry
@@MollyThompsonx_ there was probs more like 6/7 adds, some of them were double adds. I mean it doesn't bother me at all, you've gotta earn your money some way to make vids like this! Also, loved this vid, so nice to see someone not being negative about vegan food!
Oat milk is my favourite for cereal and in coffee/ tea :) weird point but I feel like it gets colder than other vegan milks?? :') xx Great video, loved watching this and you did such a good job! xx
Love this idea but I would be interested to see if you could reduce your plastic packaging - like getting separate peppers and not mango from plastic pots
ahh I really enjoyed this challenge!! falafel is either amazing or terrible, there's no inbetween 😂 but if you want some reeeaaaally good falafel you just try the falafel wraps from the red van thats always in central Leeds by the arcades!! 🤤
You can be so lucky ... it is so easy to find vegan stuff in London:( here in My small little village the only thing is some Fries and salat ... but 40 min away in Hamburg there are such amazing options 😍❤
I know this video is a month old but I’ve just realised I didn’t actually watch it lol. I have been veggie for a year and now I’m trying to be vegan 2-3 days a week- I’m exactly the same as you about tea and was super worried about it but oat milk is definitely the way to go with that!
@@maneskinnnnn7190 Sure. I do it much more successfully than vegans with the added benefit of not being associated with "those vegans" that make you all look crazy lol.
So refreshing to see someone open about not knowing much about being veggie/vegan and not just dismissing the whole thing! Love the video :)
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed :)
Ahh you should do falafel again but have it in a pitta with hummus, cucumber, pepper and spinach! So good! Falafel and hummus are made to go together!
That is CRAZY!!! Well done haha, and thank you so much, so glad you like my videos x
Falafels need oven baking not microwaving - they taste so good crispy, the microwave will make them soggy, no wonder you didn't like them! M&S and Waitrose do the best falafel if you ever try them again!
Ahh that would be why it was soggy haha, will have to do it again and try it like that, thank you!!
never tried theirs but aldi's are very nice :)
Sainsburys do good falafel!
Sooooooo refreshing to see someone actually take it seriously and be so honest with what you thought. I agree with falafels though - they can be proper hit or miss based on where you get them! Oooh I’ll have to try that! Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed xx
omg i'm so hyped and excited to watch this!!!!!!!! ...but brb i need to go and make a vegan feast for the fam (😬) so i'll be backkkkkkkkk
Hahaha hope you enjoy your debut appearance ;) Think ByChloe was a definite highlight haha!
this was so so interesting, you’ve actually inspired me to do this!! x
Deffo worth trying to see how easy it is!

Natalia Broadbent try violifes normal block! It’s sooo good and melts amazingly
this Morrison's is absolutely wham it's so good to see that they actually have this level of selection
I've been vegan/vegetarian the last few years and the best substitute milk I've found for tea is unsweetened soy milk !❤ Loved the video :)
A few people have said that so will have to try, thank you!!
the best vegan milk is oat milk! alpro do a barista oat milk which is the best in hot drinks :) so creamy! great video btw :) x
love how positive and open minded you were!! And you really put in effort to find good food you'd enjoy which a lot of you tubers don't!! well doneeee !!!!

I’ve found Morrison’s own sweetened soya milk works the best for tea, horrible in coffee but lovely in tea xx

Your attitude is amazing molly!! Haven’t seen another non vegan TH-camr be so open and so understanding of the vegan lifestyle!!
This means so much thank youu!!xx
Absolutely incredible this was so so good 💕
🥰🥰 every time I see your channel notifications, it makes me so happy!!!
Awh thank you so much!!
Beauty Spectrum You’re very welcome!! 😇
Great video !!! Your eyebrows looked amazing in this video ! 😍
Thank you so much ahhh
You should try alpro soya light. Tastes identical to cows milk
Tea with soya milk is the best combination!!! I always always have it with soya milk, especially with a spoon of sugar.
I'm the same with my tea addiction ha! Best substitute I found that tastes similar to cows milk is alpro soya xx
So excited to watch this, seen a few youtubers do this and I'm so inspired by it! x
Oatly Barista (the grey carton) from the long life milk isle is the nicest in tea in my opinion (:
Nicholas Hayman +1 to this! I’m veggie not vegan, but don’t enjoy tea without Oatly any more (especially the barista one) 🥰
The butter you would of wanted to get is sunflower butter , I work at a hospital and we always have a problem when it comes to vegan foods as they done have lots of different varieties were people that eat meat have all different varieties
ily so much can't wait to watch in a bit !! 😳😳
Try falafel with houmous in the pitta!! So niceeeee
oooh will have to! Thank youuu
Oat milk is great for tea! Doesn’t curdle and tastes the same! X
"occasionally I leave the house guys" lmao mood! Loved your version of this challenge 💗

your hair looks sooo pretty! love the length. also thank you for proving that vegans don’t eat nothing! xxx

The alpro soya milks you got are long life, they’re a lot nicer from the fridge section! I personally drink alpro soya light which I would definitely recommend
Oat milk goes really well with tea I've found 😁
Oat milk is my favourite cows milk alternative the only one I have with tea! I will have soy milk in tea if oat milk isn’t available but oat is definitely the best option to have in tea
I plan on veganising my diet when I move!!! And your tan is goals!!!!!! :)
Thank you so much!!
I’m lactose intolerant and I have the soya milk from Aldi that’s by the cupboard bits - it’s about 40p and the best I’ve found for tea!!! X

When eating out was the vegan food option more expensive?
Loved this! maybe I will have to try it soon xx
Cashew milk is my favourite vegan alternative- it is so creamy and has a very subtle taste unlike other nut milks which are very overpowering for me. It goes well with cereal, porridge, tea, coffee etc!
I actually haven’t tried that!! Might have to invest haha
Track ID? For while you’re making the curry x
Oatly barista edition is great in tea!
Will have to try that a lot of people have said that!!

I have lived in London for a whole 19 YEARS and you’re always here yet I never see you. How rude is the universe 🙄 Great video btw... and you did really well omg. I would have cracked if I tried to do this. I love me some chicken goujons from time to time 🥺😍

They're from a shop called Cotton On in Aus, but you can order from their online site to the UK!xx
Omg thank you, also I am loving your Australia vlogs and am always looking forward to them !! Xx
I love watching meat eaters trying vegan and veggie diets, as a vegetarian myself i love seeing people being more open to the idea xx
Thank you!! 🥰
Have you tried soya milk in tea?❤️❤️
No I haven’t actually will have to now tho as everyone’s recommended it!
Beauty Spectrum however I’ve also started using these pg tips dairy free ones that are available in Poundstretcher but soya milk for me works in normal tea bags aswell
try the vegan KFC burger and the Gregg's Vegan sausage roll xx
I loveee the greggs sausage roll but yet to try the KFC haha, might have to add that to my list!x
You can buy peppers and bananas without plastic, please consider this! Loved this video x

You should listen to Rhiannon Lambert’s Food for Thought podcasts. Really educational about lots of food topics including diet/veganism x
Thank you so much!! Will check her out!
Aldi have so many vegan bits! Their unsweetened soy milk is the best for tea but don’t put it in coffee!
So excited to watch this! Such a good video idea ☺️
I'm a vegan and I don't like coconut milk, I haven't tried oat milk but I have soya milk and the vanilla apro one is nice
oooh didnt know they did vanilla, might have to try that!
Rice Milk is good. Although the alpro one not so much. But the one from ricedream is yum
molly saying that she gets excited for breakfast is so comforting to hear that someone else does this🤣

@@MollyThompsonx_ hi
How r u going?
Great video again by the way
Loved this video might try being vegan ! xx
You can be so lucky ... it is so easy to find vegan stuff in London:( here in My small little village the only thing is some Fries and salat ... but 40 min away in Hamburg there are such amazing options 😍❤
In my town it's also hard there are a lot less options which is annoying!
sainsbury's own brand soya milk is the BEST in tea, i'll stand by it till the day i die, knocks alpro out of the park anyday.
If you like avocado, it’s a great addition to sandwiches, it will help you feel more full/satisfied plus it has healthy fat😁.
I’m not vegan but I drink the alpro soya light milk and it’s so nice in tea and cereal
I really like vegan Green pesto papardelle pasta with vegan sausage, sweetcorn and tomatoes. Maybe even vegan garlic baguette.
deliciosa!
Oooh thank you, will have to try that sounds amazing!
I don't understand why people buy bannas not loose when they have the option?
I know this video is a month old but I’ve just realised I didn’t actually watch it lol. I have been veggie for a year and now I’m trying to be vegan 2-3 days a week- I’m exactly the same as you about tea and was super worried about it but oat milk is definitely the way to go with that!
