I like them both, but Black Clover is my top 1 favorite new gen shonen. And I'm talking about both the anime & manga. In the end it all comes down to personal preferences.
Tho you do have to remember, Black Clover is a weekly anime--they have to pump out a new episode every week. It's not like MHA, which is a season-type thing; they don't have much leisure when it comes to how much time they have, so it does drop that animation quality, though they do mostly come through where it counts in the fights
In my opinion both series are very good but I have to say BC is way better. One major reason for me is the female characters. Most of the MHA female characters don’t do much at all which give me the same vibes like in Naruto. BC female characters are the opposite though. The cast have so many strong, useful, and better written female characters. Also the series teased about a major female villain named Megicula. The build up for her makes Kaguya(Naruto) looks meh.
I understand the MHA series focus more on Deku but remember many superheroes series that center on a male character usually have some strong female heroines. Ex: DC, Invincible, Marvel, and OPM are the best examples.
Black clover all the way because black clover was a weekly anime so for them it's hard to make it better and better while mha is just chilling and I like the characters more in black clover becasue to me some of the mha character are to naive and some times are far too weak for example ojiro or hagakure even mina
Mm well maybe I just haven’t been keeping up with MHA but I can hardly remember the side characters aside from Uraraka Ida Red Riot Bakugo todoroki Shinso is cool and like some of the heroes like all might and the teachers I think the villians are probably the most memorable part of the show😂 in black clover the heroes outshine the villians by a mile but I can still remember the villains as well idk maybe I’m trippin is that just me?

I think both have strength and weakness Bc has a great worldbuilding, good power system, good side characters and female lead, deep lore while mha has some 2-3 well written main characters and some great villians. Both are not top tier for me but bc has lot of potential I prefer bc over mha but I do love mha for villains
mha has better world building and better lore. BC has boring side characters outside of a few captains and few of the black bulls. The show itself is predictable and bland imo, it’s a enjoyable read but it doesn’t have enough substance or uniqueness too it to make it better than mha

I agree with all your points except the characters Black Clover is far better with their characters. Black Clover mainly focuses on the Black Bull members, and so far we've gotten back story and development for almost all the black bulls, apart from Charmy and The Vice Captain In Black Clover there's many characters as it has a big cast, so obviously the outer characters in other squads aren't going to get as much development as the Black Bulls. But we have gotten development on a few of the outer characters too, such as Leo, The Elfs and the Wizard king. I cannot say the same for My Hero Class 1A is the main cast of characters and so far only about 7 the characters have gotten spot light on them We know nothing about the rest, and it seems they've been left to rot, and Class 1B has added more characters and they're probably going to be on the back burner too And lets not talk about how much they've left the Main girl to rot and become useless All we know about her is she can float stuff, her family owns a construction business and she wants to be a hero to support them She's gotten no character development since she went for Martial arts training, shes just been forcibly put into the story for no reason other than she's the love interest for Deku. Compare this to Noelle whos gotten arguably the most character development in the show I think and I may be wrong about this. Your claim about saying MHA has better character development is because MHA uses their characters more, In that regard you'd be right BC normally splits up their characters and has them go separate paths where as MHA throws all their characters in all the time even tho only 4 ever do anything, Deku, Todaroki, Bakugo and Momo But the thing is the characters get no development, they're used without anything new happening to their character. Like you said Mineta got character development and I was so confused. Because only character development he got was that he befriend Electric dude (i dunno half their names they all got like 5 names: their first name, their surname, their nickname, their hero name and their super power, which is some bullshit the show be pulling) Back to what i was doing, Its best to compare Mineta to Black Clovers pervert, Fineral. Mineta has gotten no character development, hes still the horn ball compared to Fineral whos now a hard working team member trying to not be a horny playboy When it comes down to it BC has been steadily building up their characters while MHA has been leaving them to whilt

MHA has some of the worst character writing in anime, imo. The only 'good' characters I can count on one hand, and are side characters that only occasionally appear. And the main protagonist, Deku, is just abysmal. Not even relatable or 'heroes', just dumb kids.
Black Clover animation cant keep up with MHA because MHA is a seasonal anime so every episode has a higher budget for animation , while BC is a weekly anime so their budget is spread super thin. They can only spend money on the super high tier moments and fights.

I honestly think bc has better development based on the side characters. If u rlly think about it almost each arc in bc has a black bulls member or any side character in bc developing. RANT: I don't understand when people say that MHA concentrates on characters more than Black Clover , because MHA dosent care abt their characters outside Deku, almight, endevour, todoroki, hawk and shiharaki. Bakugo's character dev is absolutely horrible and even todoroki is pretty one note beyond his daddy issues. The entire class has 1 shtick and nothing beyond that. Almight is basically a background character now, and he was honestly the most compelling part of the show. I give credit to MHA for being one of the only properties that did the superman trope right, but ever since almight got nerfed the show has taken a nose dive. AND THEY CUT OUT THE BEST ARC IN THE MANGA FOR THE ANIME (MY VILLAIN ACADEMIA ARC). Black clover is the exact opposite. Its just getting better and better with each arc and every single black bull gets a full arc for their story. Yuno is a meh character but asta makes up for it in spades and he's NOWHERE AS BAD AS BAKUGO. Plus THEY HAVE YAMI and idk if anyone in anime outside of Itachi, Kakashi and Gojo can contend with Yami for the coolest characters in anime title. The recent stuff with Magna's arc has made me respect black clover more than ever. They havent lost site of their main theme since day 1(people with low magic can also take on people with more magic), while MHA ditched its main theme at the end of the first season (their theme was that the quirkless cant compete with the superheroes) in fact they went in the exact opposite direction (the show basically makes clear that the quirkless can never live up to people with quirks) and changed the theme midway to 'Heroes are bad/good for society' because i suspect the author could'nt reasonably carry out his original theme with the curret plot. BC shits over MHA in the character department.
i find both of these anime having a somewhat similar plot at the start...like both the mc were powerless at start.....and after recieving unique powers both of 'em aim to be the strongest they both even have similar mottos i.e. "plus ultra" for mha and "surpass ur limits" for bc which basically means the same but........hey they both start getting different after a couple of chapters/eps as for characters some say bc some say mha i say chainsaw man ( jk ).....i not a fan of both the mcs.....they are both too good to be real....they look like they would be clueless if somebody mentions p*rn during a conversation....i like the side characters of BC( except yuno he is a generic rival character )....yami did a good job gathering people with sad back stories....i m not saying todoroki, kirishima are bad support cast they are also very good....but still i like black bulls more when compared to class 1a MHA has better villians like shigaraki, stain, some say AFO too almost all villians are written nicely....and as for BC those dark traids looks like a bunch of hobos when they stand together...but ngl zagred and megicula are not bad..... character development......i think izuku has more charcter development compared to asta( as per the latest chapters of the manga ) as izuku dosen't cry for no reason or shout his moves out to the enemy during his fight anymore....his fights are more strategic, he also kinda give off the "stain"( mha villian ) vibe ryt now........and as for asta he just stopped yelling like a mad dog......if there are more developments in asta i havent mentioned....they are not that major( correct me if u find any ) atlas i wanna say that they both are quite enjoyable.....but they are not the best...... personally i prefer "boku no burak crover hiro academia "

The characters are...good..in terms of arcs but terrible in terms of being interesting and having good dialogs..the dialogs in Black Clover is the most generic shit I've seen in a long time... The themes are stale...the over arching message ...well... Mashle did it better and it was a Harry Potter spoof anime...so...Idk
