Hey all. Just wanted to make a note about my answer to the last question regarding what we do moving forward. I fear I didn't point my answer to the gospel enough and I want to make it clear that the reason we ought to move towards each other in the "black church" and "white church" is in hopes of creating churches that better represent the reality that God through Jesus has allowed all people to be unified. Sin has led to a segregation in the American church that still affects us today and what I was trying to say was that we ought to press through that divide for Christ's sake.
There are so many layers involved with this, and I think would be great to have a course on this particular topic and dive deeper. My hope is there would be a redemptive nature without dismissing entire story of Black life while navigating your faith.

Sadly, many Bible colleges are unwilling to really dive into the depth how the idol of racism has soiled the testimony of the church.
