My Cousin was in Special Forces on his first tour of Duty, he was the team leader, he watched his best friend and medic blow up infront of him. It gave him PTSD, not killing the enemy, so he was discharged and he was pretty messed up. He lost his faith as a Christian, drank a lot, and smoked a lot of weed. He had three kids by 19 before he left, 1 was the first born daughter and had boy girl twins. He would get mad at his mom and other who weren't his military buddies if they ask what happened. His mom, my Aunt, was finally told by some of his military buddies what had happened

My high school teacher had a British friends come over to the USA for a holiday. My teacher 's alarm triggered PTSD from the German buzz bombs over London. My teacher and her friends went to shop for an alarm that didn't sound like the bombs

One of my favorite songs, not just as an American but as a patriot from one of the many free countries throughout the world. The sacrifices must NEVER be forgotten! We owe so much to so many who were selfless and brave enough to put their own lives on the line and I will NEVER be ashamed to support and remember them!! Normandy is high on my bucket list. I cannot imagine what the French, British, Canadian and American soldiers went through that fateful day! So many lost before they even fired a shot but those remaining soldiered on to take on the German death machine and help defeat it!!
My x husband's father whom I adored was there and would never talk about it. He lost many friends and anytime the war was mentioned he got a look of great pain and sadness. He was an exceptional man and I miss our long conversations. He was taken to soon. Him and my daddy both left this earth way too soon. They served this country well. God bless you all

My grandad served in Korea 1950-51 sadly he passed away on May 25th 2001 at 74 years old his name was Joe Tucker
