- Moving city hasn't been the easiest.. not only moving into my new home, but also setting up the warehouse to get it to a point that i can work from has been tough, and lonely. I haven't even had the chance to explore Melbourne yet so needless to say this ride couldn't have come at a better time.

I'm not sure if you would've noticed it by my older sisters memorial is on the side of the road and you would've passed it on your way to Kinglake. She crashed on that road 2 years ago and passed away, if you ride that way again I'd definitely recommend you stop by and stretch your legs at the memorial site, it's a very peaceful and beautiful spot

Thanks for discussing feelings of loneliness. It’s very common and particularly for extroverts who get energised by social connection. In the busyness of life we need to find time to get that stimulation and connection. Biking with like minded people is soul therapy.

I just got my first bike last week and went on my first ride last weekend. I can't wait to keep riding. You are a lot of the reason I started wanting to ride. I'm definitely putting some money away to get a scrambler or bonnie when I'm on my R's.

Question without notice. Do you run the vibration damper on your quad lock? I’ve heard the vibrations can fry your phone’s camera.
Have done so for about 2 years now with no issues. It lasted 20 mins prior to that and had to get it fixed

I only ever use protune. I was using an ND16 to start in the morning, could have upped it to a 32 as the sun went higher but meh

If you like the turns tight, might I recommend heading toward Eildon via Skyline Rd then Eildon - Jamieson Rd. Stop at the scenic lookout near the end of the road. Then head up to Mansfield and loop around. I'll make it easy for you; here's a map: goo.gl/maps/K7gi11vArBodZK829
Also, be sure to book a trip up to Bright and the surrounding areas in Autumn. You can travel via Mansfield - Whitfield Rd through the King Valley.
