Idly, she walked down the familiar gilded halls, proper, undisturbed, armored steps ringing infrequently throughout the ethereal air. There was never any warning or fanfare, only her presence, lurking, listening for the door to open once again. With a sharp, inevitable creak, the flowing darkness turned to face her onlooker, her adversary, gazing in silent acknowledgement. The time had come once again, and there was nothing more to be said.

I think this is about as decent as it's going to get; I've had this project for a few months, but I kept wanting to do more with it, kept thinking it wasn't where it should be. I used to do yearly Nightmare Moon themes, partially because I had so much fun with them, and partially because I started music around late October/early November of 2011, so I'd have the themes act as markers for progress. This song originated from a short WIP intended as a joke (www.mediafire.com/file/mbep64..., but I kept running with it to see if it would go somewhere, and I'm mostly satisfied with how it turned out. If nothing else, it was a lot of fun to work on, and I can't be upset with that. I'll be back to work on more soon to see what can be done. Hope you all enjoy.
Same as last time,

This is a compilation of most of what I've made over the years, WIPs included. Anything can be used so long as I'm credited.
Hope you all have a good one. I never intend to remain absent for long. - เพลง
I wanted something a bit heavier than Of Shadows and Nightmares, but not too far into hybrid. Ended up feeling a bit like some of my older work, but I don't think it's too bad of a thing. Gotta hand it to Palworld for getting me to actually want to finish it, since after finally getting Frostallion Noct, this song kept running through my mind. I kept wanting to change it, but I'm also tired of changing it, so it'll be what it is. Still hard to let go of projects, but I'll get over it eventually.
Edit: It really is something different listening back a while after upload. A lot of worries and concerns pile up right before, and it tends to eat at me, but I truly am content with how this turned out. I really can't stress how much fun it was to keep adding things, even if was a bit maddening at times. Thank you all for listening.
nah this is going to my 10 fav list for sure!
As someone who likes a lot of your older stuff, it's neat to see how much has changed even as you return to form in some ways here. Solidly 10/10, man!
Thank you for making!
All these years and your music still retains its casual elegance. I can't say I'm a loyal viewer but I'm glad you are still honing your craft!
Radiarc i feel like you are the last that can bring me into the old days; may you never stop of making such incredible art.
Stunning, as usual. The cello. 🤌
So proud of you. ❤
Radiarc your music always turns out real awesome so congrats man
Personally, your older works from over 6-7 years ago had always resonated with me the most, probably more so than your more recent works
However I do hope that the passion you cultivated all those years ago continue to stick with you for as long as it can in the future
You have a great talent for this stuff so good luck with any future works you may create
It's so good to see ya finally allowing yourself to let work be good enough to post, man.
The way that piano opened up was divine. Just such a beautiful flow that felt just so soft and tender. Then the drums came in, and while this felt the most impactful they'd be for the rest of the song, really added some depth with the tease of the choir in the back. Then the pace picks up again with that frantic piano strip that really did feel like a devolution into madness, something that keeps growing further and further as you add in more instruments. Being a Nightmare Moon piece, I suppose that was to be expected. But the way the strings jump in and it's all just more and more frantic, with those sweet, sparing moments of lucidity splitting the song apart, it all feels like this desperate mix of darkness and sorrow, with sprinkles of acceptance and peace. I may not know jack about music composition, but the way you blended the strings and piano into this split of peaceful tranquility and frantic madness was amazing. Between the calm notes of piano that hold just, oh so much emotion behind them, flights of reflection and hints of acceptance, and the surging bassy notes that really had that impact of resolution and anger. Man, I really loved what you did with the piano in this one.
And then we get to the strings properly. It definitely feels like this one is meant to focus on the strings, with how heavy they go, both with the light, airy stuff that gives off this aethereal, heavenly atmosphere, and the dark, rapid, maddening tones that carry so much energy to them. Honestly, the way that you manage to keep such a massive gap in tones working together is incredible to hear; the super soft opening and ending, with those sparing moments of stillness interspersed really do add time to reflect on the growing insanity surrounding the rest of the song. Your skill with the kinds of strings you use is on full display here, and it's absolutely magnificent, as always.
As unironically one of your biggest fans, this piece is fantastic, the range and depth it uncovers as the song further progresses, different instruments getting dropped in and out is fundamentally fantastic. The only thing I will say is that it's not quite shadow-y enough for a Nightmare Moon track I feel, this is maybe closer to Sombra, there's a feeling of inevitability, a slowly ticking down clock leading to a battle with only one outcome - and I feel this closer portrays how Sombra was imo.
Dear Radiarc, i'll take the risk to say that you are, in my humble perspective, the Greatest Composer of the MLP Fandom, and (also in my opinion) One of the Greatests Composers of Internet. Your instrumentals could literally be Movie's Soundtracks. 👏
Fantastic composition as usual. Always happy to see an upload from you in the feed.
You're as talented as the day I lost you.
Been following for a decade now! Over that actually. Never stop being you!
Gorgeous! I love how full of strings it is!
Your music is incredible in ways I cannot describe. Where other artists dip into grating rock, your compositions hold an elegance to them that just sets them all apart.
You're an irreplaceable composer, and I'd be lost without you.
It's always lovely to hear more music from you. This one is really cool!
I don't know how you do it, but every track is more of a journey than just a piece of music.
Wow, this is amazing !!! Good work
Thank you for this great piece.
Thanks for this!
I like it!
Stay strong and don't stress yourself out!
Amazing Music Sounds Good
Outstanding as usual, each of your pieces are unique and powerful yet beautiful and elegant ❤ thank you for blessing my ears
Wonderful.
fantastic as always
I have a deep appreciation for Nightmare Moon Related Tracks...
I love hearing all of those short strings. I'm really seeing why I need to spend money on high quality VSTs. I'll definitely be taking some ideas away from this song. I really loved this track and chord progressions. I hope you're taking care of yourself, it matters more than getting to hear new music.
Free is too generous, I should pay for your work.
Absolutely amazing
no views in the span of the 10 seconds?! Nah man Radiarc fell off...
Great music keep it up!
I like you art
So sad that your songs don't have more views. This sounds like it'd fit right in with a Kingdom Hearts final boss.
joe
sweet celestia you're still far too good at this music thing. My goodness.
