What do you think is wrong with mine. When turning my signal left or right really really loud static speaker noise starts it stops when i place it back. Also if a phone call comes in the same thing all i hear is huge static noise
You have a loose wire inside steering column that is most likely a positive wire. The insulation coatings rub of after sufficient wear. And thus exposing positive to rub anything connected to chasis or unibody ground. Being that all electrical components n car share the ground the only audible indicator would be static in speaker. When you do it next time illuminate ur instrument panel max and then turn signal. If the dash slightly dims its a power to ground issue for sure. And you can test with ohm meter from battery for short. I just diagnosed and fixed one yesterday. Especially considerable mileage and alot of driving will for sure cause it. Just heat shrinked double over wires vulnerable areas and free fix
@@abelabila Thank you for the "reply" i took it to a place that puts in car stereo he automatically said it was the amplifer. so i bought one on line and will be changing it. but now that i have your message and before opening up the sealed amplifer who should i take it. im changing the amplifer myself since i saw how to do it. The car stereo automatically wanted to make thousands out of me. he said its was going to cost about $1800 just for the part and that not including labor. Oh god...just because im a woman thank goodness im not that stupid and believe in elbow grease always fixes things. Anyways what youre saying sounds complicated is there a video that you know of?? that check for that. btw my car was runing and playing music just fine. and from one day to the next it started with this extreme static sound. Your theory sounds alot more reasonable because the speaker are definately not blown out. and i was driving to florida when it happened and it was super hot an then it rained alot a storm passed and it sounds like water could have caused the problem. how should i start looking for the problem? or what service do i need...definately not a mechanic...someone that does electrical work in the car right...you think another car stereo place? thanks again for replying.
@@fashionremodels4797 id put an aftermarket amp and return the factory. Aftermarkets are cheaper and better quality than factory. If it does the static simultaneously with the turn signal it has nothing to do with the amp. The amp is receiving signal from radio if u here it. Then its routed to speakers with amplified output. For all speakers to do static noise simultaneously in the midst of turn signal operations means its something they all universally share... which is ground. The dealers will upsale you and articulate the fix in technical terms most ppl can't interpret so it sounds hard. But its not simple schematics and diagrams online will show every wire and its location. I'll look up few troubleshooting videos and will reply with links. The quality and output of the factory amps doesn't justify the price remotely. Name brand after markets are cheaper and higher quality with more capabilities. The manufacturers try their best to make you rely on them and their expertise but its all a joke.
@@abelabila Your so kind. i really appreciate it. what your saying makes more sense to me than completely getting a new amplifer. how could i fix it though. i bought a amplifer online with amazon cost me about $158 dollars. btw i have CD player in the front and back. everytime i put it in drive it the movie turns off. anyway i can turn this off?? wish i can take this car to you. which state do you live in?
I GOT the same problem😢 I live on a fixed income and I hope that anybody who can help me out what way to go about this problem this was my fav car got it NOW I'm getting hit with electric problems but ran well but after the sound dropped on my SRX ,it's a nightmare if u got any advice highly appreciated...w/respect
I just had this issue earlier today. I was getting groceries and then when I got back in my car, the turn signal sound and radio doesn't work on my 2014 ATS. If this problem continues for a few days, I'm taking it to the Cadillac dealership next week. Did you get yours fixed yet?
This may be old but I'm having this problem so I'm glad you posted this video.
Bad amp

@@abelabila looks like my dimmer is a Max and when i Turned the signal it didn't dim. So you think it could be the amplifier??
