One of my favorite tips -- I made homemade wool dryer balls and I put 10-15 drops of lavender essential oil on them and toss them in the dryer with my towels and bed linens. It makes them smell so good! I "reload" the oil about once a week. (I have 5 children and do about 3 loads of laundry a day, so the balls go through several loads before they needed to be refreshed.)

Caren Collins the worst is when the machine stop working and you have to call a 1-800 number that takes forever to get back to you. And yes people can be so rude and take out your clothes !

Wow, way to go Oliver! I have a couple kiddos (age 5 and 9) as well who have now been delegated to do their own laundry. The kids share a room and I want them to have their own laundry hampers that don't take up too much space. I love those hanging laundry bags on the rack, but would like to know- can kids lift them out okay? I'm worried they won't be tall enough to lift them out to get to the bottom of the bag. If somebody could post a review of one of these hampers in action from a kids perspective, that would be awesome! Also I love your Matchmaker Board!!

Omg this reminds me of the time I bought dried lavender in a bag and did the sachets like that and put one in my sock drawer and then a few months later discovered that some kind of creature eggs were in the lavender and hatched and there were dead bugs all in my sock drawer. It was so disturbing I haven't bought any dried lavender since and that was about 5 years ago. Lol. I now stick to lavender oil. :-\ I LOVE that laundry cart. Your new home is looking so dreamy.
