Ravensburger did it again! This is definitely going into my solo board game collection. A perfect game to kill 30 mins from time to time. This is almost a board game version of "Palm Island", which I love 💘 Thank you for the fun video!
Great series, I've really got into some solo gaming (thanks pandemic lockdowns). Great way to learn games and keeps me off of Netflix! Thanks for the video Paula. I definitely heard some hints coming from Shepherd off camera but that's one for the WIP internal investigation team!
Just got the game today.... I scored 101, my first game BEFORE the achievements. I focused on getting all the temples, so that helped my score. I didn't do so well on provisions. Thanks for the playthrough!😁
Today, I tried my first game and had 152 points :) Thank you for the gameplay! It is so much easier for me to learn games when someone shows it to me :) By the way... my black kitty girl, also named Luna!
I'm the same way. I learn better by seeing someone play games, rather than learning from the manual...and watching others play and have fun always puts me in the mood to play
I think as a tip at 17:31, Paula could have used the extra X from the horse to cross off the scroll on tile 2 so that she had an extra scroll for an later round. I can see using the horse to cross off a scroll being a good strategy, so that at least you have the flexibility of the scroll for a later round when the tiles decide to go south on you down the road. Otherwise, it was a fun video, especially with the Luna the cat being on camera for about 50% to 75% of the video. Maybe in the future, Paula could try the board game "Cat Explorers" if they release it, and people will make based on our own pets that like to either bother us and/or keep use company when we'll busy doing things like recording videos. Whatever made "The Isle Of Cats" did the right thing of making a board game for cat lovers, and maybe it can be Paula's next solo playthrough if a solo mode exists for it.
Shepherd has to play along next time. He’s hilarious! I’m just glad my fur babies aren’t the only ones that seek attention at the most in opportune times. 🤣
I really need a cat to help me with my solo sessions--at least so I don't sound too crazy when talking to myself. Anyway, very clear & entertaining playthrough. Great work!
I played along and got the exact same score! I focused on scrolls, gems, and marking off all the temples while making sure to get all the apples for the achievement.
Tried the game on my phone and I'm on my way to get a physical copy as well. Was not easy to get into the rules as I went in blindly but thanks to your playthrough I will give it another try.
Just played this game for the first time - I got 147 (- 30 = 117)! I love Love LOVE this game! I didn't focus as much on gems, but I got the same amount of points as Paula on the provisions (and managed to get all of the apples as well) ... I think where I strived was going for the keys and temples quicker (8+ 10 + 10 + 8), and after I achieved all of those I was able to use the final round to focus on surrounding villages (7 + 0 + 10 + 10) and work on my longest diagonal line (12).
Thanks for the playalong! I got 118 points. I got more gems but didn't focus on the villages or apples, which I think hurt my score a little. A very enjoyable game!
@@WatchItPlayed just got the game, did a play through along with the video. i finished with 146. i feel very good right now. very cool game. i think i would have had more points but the cat was distracting me! lol
Thanks for the video! I'm awaiting my copy of the game from my FLGS. Hopefully it comes soon! 😎 And I'm guessing the cats were expecting _Isle of Cats: Explore & Draw_ instead. 😅
Clearly, Paula works better under cat supervision as there weren't any errors in the video, other than the spoken one which Luna doesn't understand so no blaming her for letting that slip through. So, clearly Table for 1 needs to be changed to Table for 1 & Cat. You'd probably triple the views because cat. Beats Table for 1 & flyfishing witch. And lava bears burn everything down.
Awesome edition to the Watch it Played library. Now we can see solo gameplay. Keep these up! :)
Thank you Scott!
You make games look so fun even by yourself. Love this series!
Thank you so much! :D
I absolutely love Paula's 'Table for 1' series! More solo games with Paula and her kitties please.
🐈⬛🎲🐈⬛🎲🐈⬛
Thanks Verena, I’m sure the cats will be back!
Discovering things with Paula is much more interesting than on my own :)
hehe I'm glad you think so!
Love Table for One. I really enjoy the mystery games you have done before.
Very kind of you to say!
I see Paula on the thumbnail and I click view!
Great playthrough! This channel always has such quality production for every video.
Thank you kindly Henri!

Thanks for the kind words, so glad you enjoyed!
Thanks for teaching. I’ve been holding out watching it until I got my copy. Scored 121 my first try. Keep up the great work.
Very nice score! Have fun on all your future plays :)

We'll have to mute that microphone next time!
That was enjoyable as always, and Luna was so well behaved
Although a little judgey, I felt. -Rodney
@@WatchItPlayed Cats are so good at expressing "You're placing it there?" without actually saying anything.
My daughter's cat is named Luna but is a Giant great puffball. She likes to screw up the table. Thanks for the olay through Giuseppe !
I was honestly surprised she sat there so well-behaved for the whole video.

ooh yeah that additional scroll would have been a good idea! Good tip
Interesting ideas Daniel!

I worry things would have gone very differently if Shepherd had been involved. -Rodney
9:33 - 9:42 ... Luna silently judging ... "C'mon Mom, get to those temples!"
Luna takes games quite seriously!
Luna stealing the spotlight
Classic Luna
Now I wanna try this game. Also Luna was super cute. We have a black cat named Kiesha in our house.
Glad you enjoyed the game (and the cat!) :)
Excellent solo play-through Giuseppe 😉
Giuseppe wasn't in this one, Giuseppe was instead.

Thanks for exploring!

Thanks for playing along - and great score!
I've enjoyed playing Explorers online & am excited for when the board game is available in the US! Great play through👍
Thank you Billy!

Hey hey, thanks for playing along - that's a very good score, and sounds like you might have picked up some new things to try on your next play :)
Love watching your videos. Just ordered the game because of it.
Have a great time playing Todd!

We have this game, my daughter that's 6 really enjoys it.
The Smiths are going to be breaking it out this weekend! -Rodney
@@WatchItPlayed hope you have a fun time, my top tip is other than temples make sure you surround the villages, some great pointyto be had.
Nice work Paula
Thanks tmon!
Thanks for the play through I just got the game and ended up scoring 126!
Well done!!
Dang it… now I need to get this… why do you make it look so good!
Kyaaa! Black kitty, Luna!! Great video, too
Thanks CG :)
Thanks for the video!

I think they're still waiting!
Your solo play throughs are great!
Thanks so much Linda!
I think Luna would be the kind of cat that would obediently sit in the box that's required to play The Isle Of Cats...
Maybe!
Love the meeple ring, btw. :D
This looks like a fun game
Thanks for checking it out Sean!
My total was 144, what helped me was surrounding the villages more and reaching the temples earlier
Nice score Jess!
NEAT! :)
Isn't Dora the greatest explorer of all time? She's tough competition, for sure.
She's had a lot of practice :)
I got 85, but it was my first time playing so I’m okay with that.
A very good first score!
109, first game, thank you
Nicely done!

Well, only if flyfishing witches are around - otherwise Lava Bears are quite tame.
