I like these ideas. Very good video. Now, what adhesive did you use for the black stuff? I have part of a roll left in the shed and this is where that will land up. And, I was going to use some tent seam stuff on the seams to hopefully make the blinds go several seasons.
Set up the blind this way ( ◇) instead of this way ( □ ), then sit facing the corner; hiding behind the pillar created by partially unzipping the side window corners diagonally like this ( \ _I|l_ / ) especially for Archery . Much more room to draw, plus you can hide behind the corner 90°. This also puts a 90° corner , into any prevailing wind, like this ( ◇ ) ; instead of hitting a flat side , like this ( □ ) . Doing "this" also allows the wind to more easily skirt around the corner ( ^ ), rather than hit a flat side more like a sail ( --- ) . Just try it ... !
The best way to anchor a "Doghouse" blind while you are away is to lash the two roof poles together at the ( + ) with paracord, then run a guy line down to a screw in tent stake in the center of the floor to "compliment" normal corner stakes and external tie outs.
Nice video BUT this blind is just almost worthless for bowhunting even with all the improvements. Even the Ameristep website says this blind is made for rifle hunting. You can possibly use a crossbow but that is about it. It's biggest drawback is that it doesn't have enough room to draw a bow to full draw and it's windows are too low. Spend a little more for something made for bowhunting.
These work well for crossbows!! I have 3 of them. Don’t know if it’s feasible for verticals or not!!
Thank you for taking the time to share these ideas. Good video.
Thank you
Good job. I enjoyed your video. some food for thought.

Good idea, but u can take that mesh out
Yes you can
Yes you can.
I’ll just spend the extra 50 bucks for one much larger and suitable for archery. That’s too much going on while trying to set up a blind.

Yes not for Archery but it was all I had at the time so I wanted to make use of it.
