दिल के तार झनझना उठें। इक़बाल कुरेशी जी का नाम और गीत सुनकर। रेडियो पर अक्सर फरमाइश में इक़बाल कुरेशी जी का नाम सुना करते थे।आज आपने वहीं गीतों की बौछार कर दी इसके लिए आपका तहे दिल से शुक्रिया अदा करता हूं। कुरेशी जी के बारे में जो कुछ बोलना है वो उनका गीत संगीत बोलता है। एक्टर सुधीर जी के बारे में जरुर कहना चाहूंगा।वो हमारे नेबर हुआ करते थे।वीनस एपार्टमेंट वर्ली सी फेस पर पंद्रहवीं मंजिल पर हमलोग आमने-सामने रहते थे।उनकी याद भी आपने ताज़ा कराई। उसके लिए भी धन्यवाद देना चाहूंगा। हम सभी संगीत प्रेमियों को लगता है।वो पुराना फिल्म संगीत कहीं खो सा गया है।

कोई किसी का बुरा नही करता ,सब कुछ अपने कर्मो का खेल है । लता मंगेशकर को भी बोहोत संघर्ष करना पड़ा था और आशा भोसले को भी । मधुबाला तो अड़ी रहती थी कि उनके गाने सिर्फ लता मंगेशकरही गायेगी । डायरेक्टर को भी लतादिदिसही गाने गवाने थे ।जब रॉयल्टी के लिए लड़ने के लिए उनके साथ सिर्फ आशा भोसले खड़ी रही । रॉयल्टी तो सब को मिली सिर्फ लता और आशा को नही । अगर लता, आशा मनमानी करती होती तो रॉयल्टी देने से निर्माता मना कर सकते थे पर उनकी अहमियत उनका दर्जा कोई खोना नही चाहता था ।

Iqbal sahab is not the only one, their are so many music directors in hindi film industry who have contributed but we do not know them, we appreciate their songs but we cannot name them, Uqbal sahab 'ek chameli ke mandve tale' is one of my favourite songs and also songs of rafiji are fantastic.

A very talented composer, Iqbal Qureishi was a self-respecting man. He did not pamper egos of big name female singer siblings, the Changezkars. They took his indifference as a huge personal offense and were hellbent on destroyinghim. They did so by intimidating the musicians and producers not to work with Iqbal Saheb. He fell victim to the same conspiracy that also destroyed the careers of other popular MDs, such as, Sajjad, Sardar Mallik, C. Ramchandra, OP Nayyar, and a number of established and budding singers such as Geeta Dutt, Shamshad Begum, Mubarak Begum, Sudha Malhotra, Minoo Purushpttam, Krishna Kalle, Vani Jairam, Sharda and Hemlata, among others.
At 1.53 Iqbal Kureshi was Pandit Allah Rakha, father of Zakir Hussain
