You've explained him perfectly here and I couldn't agree with you more on this. I always loved XGaster as a character since he reminds me of Hero Killer Stain from My Hero Academia and other characters who are super entitled to go at any means necessary to achieve their insane goals. Characters with crazy philosophies about the world and everything around them are just super interesting and sometimes are chilling and intimidating. Though despite XGaster's good intentions of wanting to change the multiverse with his power to make it a better place for Frisk and Chara, he ended up walking the road of evil and went too far. I mean the stuff he did just makes you hate the guy but really like him at the same time cause he is such a good villain and the way he thinks really gets you interested atleast imo.
