We met them in Freiburg,Germany - they were playing in the streets. We became enchanted and they came to visit us in Norway and had a church concert here (Rødenes Kirke). Very deep and magical! Miss you guys- would love to see and hear you again some day! Love Fanny
I cant explain the feeling and energy im filled with hearing this, makes me want to ride into the sunrise with a trusty steed and never look back, one of the things i love about the internet is being able to hear and experience things like this from ther cultures and worlds i otherwise would never know about.
Freiheit ausstrahlen ...
First heard this in 2014 and LOVED it. Thought about it again tonight. The исгэрээ хөөмий (whistle tone) at 3:16 still gives me goosebumps and gets my adrenaline going.
I love the image of Christ raising his hands in the background. Almost as if saying, "the world is 1 and the rhythm of life is 1, regardless of color or nation".
Galliane fait ce qu'elle peut - I also suspect that Islam originated in the Pontic Steppe (specifically with the Khazars) before it was re-geographised (along with many other Biblical place names) to the Middle East some time after the Middle Ages. The original Quranic recitation styles may have even been variants of throat singing.
These people are far away from the Khazars. These people from Altaic mountain. A mountainous area where Russia, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Tibet and China meet.
2009 or 2010 I'd guess, can't remember exactly. I sure hope they'll come back!! I'll talk to my mom, I assume she's still in contact with Hoosoo :) It wasn't very big, maybe a 100 people. I don't think it was promoted much!
Hosoo is actually a close cousin of mine, sadly the band has been broken up for a while and Nasaa and Nagi (two on the right) moved to form Sedaa hahaha

Must been beautiful to actually hear it in person, especially this one drum beat with thrill of galloping.

I love how there doing it in a church out of all places.
damn. wish I could find a CD or MP3 of their music.
this one is called "Hosoo Transmongolia - Khulguud"
I must have listened to this 1000 times. It's transcendent, divine music. The painting in the back is actually very fitting.

This is literally the theme song of 13th century!

I am deeply convinced that judaism (and hence christianity) have shamanic roots, but that's an intuition I have, I couldn't explain…

What, when? I have waited for them to come to Norway for a long time, and now they've been here, I just didn't know?
Very-very cool music!!!Jan-2016
It is one thing to do this with instruments, but with voice? We all have computers now, but nothing compares to voice controlled like that
the whistling represents the horses snoring when they sleep at night
Does it really? I thought maybe the cries of their hunting hawks.
it's not lmao. isgeree is like sygyt, it represents water, and possibly birds.

I should have drunk more fermented horses milk in Ulaanbaatar! Mein Gott, Das ist fantastisch!
Sounds like something you would hear in the soundtrack of a great sword fighting action movie.
Just tell me if they come around again, will you? :)

The origin of all string music in Western Europe came from central Asia. Such an educational tool!
